    I saw him around 10 years ago in Dublin. He did his Alanis Morrisette Ironic jokes and I thought they were brilliant. I hadn't heard of him before and thought he was really funny.
    He's not so funny now - he peaked too soon. He's cute with short hair and glasses though. I'd take him if i got him for nuthin'.

    Yes.

    Everyone on Boards seems to hate him, but I honestly think he's one of the best Irish comedians around, along with Dara O'Briain.

    Worst are PJ Gallagher and Jason Byrne.

    Best: Neil Delamare. Go see him live... unbelievable! His is so funny especially in front of an Offaly crowd!

    Worst: Tommy Tiernan. So over hyped... sat through both his Dvds and laughed at the very most about five times.... Pure torture!

    Dara O'Briain and Dylan Moran are 2 of my favourite comedians in the world, never mind just ireland.
    Tommy Tiarnan was ok, but stale now. I'm suprised how many people hate Ed Byrne, he wouldnt be my favourite but hes not that bad, though you hear the same jokes repeated an awful lot.
    Jimmy carr... i like him in panel shows, but not stand up. I think his jokes are funny but a full hour of one lines would make me want to kill him.
    All other irish comedians ive seen have been terrible, all those other eejits on The Panel - rubbish

    I agree with your tastes, although I don't know some of them. I used to think Tiernan was cool, but he hams it up too much and goes over the top. Dylan Moran is really dry. Des Bishop is annoying. Andrew Maxwell just seems like a bit of a git.

    Dara and Jason Byrne are at the top of my favourites list esp. Jason - he really is hilarious.

    Top of my hate list is Tommy Tiernan. He's so incredibly forced and it really is a certain "type" of person that finds him funny.

    Best has to be .... Neil Delamere, Maeve higgins is ok, Jason Bryne is hit or miss .... tommy has a few - issues goin on, david o'doherty has his moments and i havent read the whole thread so i don't know if anyone has mentioned ian coppenger yet he's pretty good and my height! i have more hair though

    we should start a petition to get dave mc savage outta the country, ed byrne off the panel (all he does is read bad jokes off a bit of paper, i can do that an at least id look good doin it!!) and tell des bishop to stop pretendin he's irish!

    Good ones:

    -Dylan Moran
    -Tommy Tiernan (used to be brilliant but maybe not as good now as he was)
    -Dara O'Briain
    -Neil Delamere isn't bad either

    Bad Ones:

    -Ed Byrne - you're not funny. Go away.
    -Jason Byrne (to be honest I haven't seen much of his standup but that tv show anonymous is so awful and so unfunny that I have to put him in this list)
    -Deirdre O'Kane - about as funny as having a tooth pulled without anaesthetic.

    What, why o why Neil Delamere?! He bugs me to no end. Feckin lukewarm, stay at home, crochet knitting type! Definitely a bit of the Daniel O'Donnell about him. Nice chap probably but not in the comedic way like.

    Bring back Dara.

    I saw Andrew Maxwell the other night and he was brilliant. Some of his best stuff yet. I know loads of people don't like him because he recycles jokes etc. and I was a bit worried about that myself but it was all new and just hilarious. Fantastic. No doubt is he up to par with Tommy Tiernan when he peaked (yeah we all know Tommy's gone downhill). Ye should give him another chance :D

    Anyway, my best/worst lists.

    Best: Dylan Moran, Andrew Maxwell, Tommy Tiernan, David O' Doherty, Neil Delamere.. I think Jarlath Regan might appear on here soon :pac:

    Worst: Des Bishop, Karl Spain, Jason Byrne (well, he might not deserve to be in the worst list but I saw him live a few months ago and he just wasn't very funny), Ed Byrne (It's not funny that he's nerdy, or whatever persona he's trying to achieve. Go away, Ed Byrne. Go away.)

    Eh ya that's all I can think of.
