Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No make up allowed while in training ladies. Sorry to break the bad news.

    Also, the communal showers are each sectioned off into private rooms which you can lock from the inside. You do get a little privacy, but no water temperature control.

    Wow! :eek: purple nail polish and jewelley - that's not good!

    I'm the same, as long as i can have a bit of foundation and mascara i'm fine (without mascara i have no eyes!!) It's funny you do see these lady cops walking about with face plastered in slap!

    Anyway, we can definately manage it for 4 weeks ladies, even if we do look a bit rough!

    We'll have to get waxed before we go in - that should sort the body hair issue!

    I think the trousers are going to be my biggest nightmare, i'm not a leggy sorta gal - they're gonna look hideous! ha ha! If your ass is gonna need a postcode so are my thighs! :P

    Luckily us gals can manage the "no make-up" look - with a ton of the stuff which takes half an hour to put on LOL

    Not sure I fancy a stroll to the showers in the morning with severe bed head in full view of the guys....:eek:

    FO - You've hit the nail on the head with the ole waxing - The Saturday before we all go to GV ( note my positive thinking here! ) our beauty therapists will have their work cut out.

    Huh, the men have it easy, bet they never have to lie with their legs in the air geting hot wax applied to their nether regions!!!!:D

    I've an idea - Tinted moisturiser?
    Perhaps it we apply it well enough we'll just look like natural godesses! ha ha.

    Re waxing, it should last the majority of our time there (again reality check needed - we're not there yet!) I'd rather the last week was a lil' stubbly rather than shaving every other day!

    On a geeky note; less time shaving = more study time! ;)

    I've seen the ad for it, looks class! I've a little car harness for my puppy and my partner is a tree surgeon, he takes me climbing but so far I've resisted temptation to bring the dog up with us!

    Dog handling would be great because I assume a lot of it involves narcotics and I'd love to do a real good drugs bust!

    Dog handling would be great but I quite hard to get into I believe. I think I'd get to emotionally attached to the dogs and if anything bad ever happened....:(

    My aim is TSG or CID.

    Dont think theres anyone close to getting in, we are all still at the AC/Sending away Vetting stage, no-one has word on a medical yet but we'll keep y'all posted!

    This is my first time so treating it as a trial run, really not expecting to get further than AC this time, though would absolutely love to.

    Will keep re-applying for as long as it takes, its what I want to do!

    Definatly dont give up, i got out of the royal military police to join the PSNI. i didnt think it was so hard to get in but like u said if its somethin you really want keep at it and you will get there.

    Cops with cameras is good!! Loads of drug busts in Swansea! I don't think i've seen Third Watch - TV or film?

    Third watch Amercian show about all emergency services - I havent seen it but supposedly excellent!

    well i did 2 years doing queens duties stood outside buckingham palace, windsor castle etc etc so yeah i would say without being big headed that i am V good at bulling boots, ive also alot of knowledge of police work having done police studies in the RMP so im looking forward to rekindling my desire of being a police officer and helpin anyone who needs help.Im sure i will be on here to help when you DO get in!!!!!!!

    Oh the puppies were beautiful!!!!!!!!!! They are really beautiful dogs, all of them!

    I couldnt be a dog handler, I thought I could but I'd get too attached. Plus although they arrested the dude with the pitbull - when they were taking the pitbull out of the Police van the dog was clearly distressed - I couldnt cope with that!! Dangerous dog or not :(

    I 'd feel no compassion for a piece of human scum but not dogs!

    You've a point there! If the dog got hurt and you had been working with it for years you'd be distraught! :( (tear runs down cheek).
