Here is a question. I am on the old Anytime tariff 9 cent meteor calls and free credit every month. I reckon I am going to have to give up both of those options to avail of this new price plan... Am I right? If so this new one better be good :P

Yes. If you request to move to the new tariff you will not be able to move back.

It depends on how you use your phone really. The original offers were very good so you'll have to be sure the new tariff's suit you before you decide to change.

I think the free text/picture messages, 9 cent calls to Meteor phones and free credit every month is unbeatable? Or would this new plan possibly surpass that?

So is it tomorrow we are hearing the details of the plans and then they are launching on Friday?

I know anticipation levels are running rampant but i'm sure you'll hear of the new tariff at some stage today, it's being officially announced to meteor staff in the next couple of hours. i will officially state that i wont officially know it until then. . .it is pretty good though

When I log in to my meteor I can see what the offer is. Am I allowed to say what it is and post a screenshot?

(Lets just say it matches and just about beats the o2 promotions on offer)

free texts to any network for life and free talk and text for life for pay as you go customers. Just sign up and then top up by twenty quid! The offers are on the site now!

Just saw this on the side of a bus.

    Free meteor calls and texts,
    Or free all network texts.

    EDIT: still e20 per month

Thats what it is. Free texts to all networks OR free meteor texts and calls (not just to 10 numbers like o2)

that reply was written before the plans were announced, just didn't hit submit, carry on.

    just found on their site:

    Pre-Pay Anytime Choice
With Anytime Choice you can make calls at anytime to any network for the same great rate of 29c per minute. We also offer a good text rate of 11c to any network. That's not all! You can opt-in to either Meteor to Meteor talk and text for life OR free any network texts for life!

So you'll have to be signed up to this plan in order to avail of the new offers

they just got free evenings and weekend to all networks for life, that's the best deal in the country, sheesh. . .some people. . .

although you do have a point, talk 60 aint looking to have much of an existance after today

hi all, a very impressive improvement in offers i must say, what is the situation with someone who has topped up with €20 and is mid-month on their existing plan, can they change over to a new plan and get the benefits straight away.Or do they have to wait until their next top-up is due.

    voyager

I was just asking in general. The thread seems to have dealt with pre pay. I'm not very up to date on the meteor tariffs. I'm on talk 60 though, I probably should look at some better ones.

Ah.. I thought that BIG ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN would bring us something like free calls to any networks plus landlines if you top up by 20 euro. Don.t really see the point in still offering so many inter-network offers when it's so difficult to know which network people are on.. Don.t really think these new plans bring much new.. Was expecting a revolution in prepay pricing..

Isn't there some number you can text to see if someone's on Meteor. Then it's just a matter of putting an asterisk next to all the meteor numbers in your phonebook.
