Good result for yiz as usual, could of easily been 9-0.Yiz will be tough to beat again this year id say..Sory 4 the slow play lol, im never that slow i was scraping pars the whole time, went OOB on 11, dat made it much slower only one 2 on the 1st, playing terrible need practice.Good pitch on the last, cool head as usual.Ya practicing in Shandon?Courtney - it did 4 me anyway 100% record hehe.Wats de other results dya know?

DugOut, the Collins club (Scannell brothers and Co.) won the Cork Senior Leagues for the first time in 12 years beating Majestic from Mallow in the final. ESB beat Pfizers in the Intermediate final and Crosshaven beat my club St. Stephens in the Junior final. Latest results from last weekends big Scratch Cup down south:

20th April Deerpark (Killarney) Scratch Cup
    Winner, Damien Fleming, 135.
    Second Ray Murphy, (Templebreedy) 137.
    Third, Eoin Walsh, (Collin's) 139.
    Fourth, John Goodall, (Tralee) 140.
    Fifth, Jason Regan, (Tralee) 141.
    Final 18, Eoin Shannon, (Collin's) 46.

Fleming could be one to watch. This is his 3rd Scratch Cup victory of the year. Is he a known performer at this level?.

    Thanks Dromcill, great post.

Where you part of the St Stephens team? The Collins club seem to have some really good young lads coming up along with the likes of the old heads of Walsh & the Scannells. Suprising to hear its been 12 years since there last senior league title.

Yes Damien Fleeming is a very good player and well capable on the big stage. I see Ray Murphy in the top 2 as usual.

I heard Billy Buckley - Erry (144) won Cement beating Ian Donnelly - Cement (145) by 1 shot.

Dont worry about it, it annoyed me a bit but thats life, we all have are ways of getting around the course, whatever works for u Ger. ye i needed to get me act together when i was 2 down to arron, i missed a simple putt on 11 then nailed 12/13/14 but again missed a 3 footer up the hill on 14, good game though, havent Lucan beat Glenville 6.3

I was on the losing St. Stephens team allright. We lost 6-3. The team just did not play well on the day (Nerves I would say). The annoying thing is that we beat Crosshaven two weeks earlier in the league stage 5-4.

We have a stron enough side once we get the Hubert las back, Justin back after 2 years away from Pitch and Putt a good player needs time though this year so the home games will help him. Dont worry about the slow play mate its all in pitch and putt and whatever works keep doing it. I havent practiced at all in shandon, its not a course u can go off practicing so just take it on the day. Lucan beat Glenville 6.3

Billy Buckley was 2nd in the Cement Scr Cup, Donnelly won by a shot, shooting 44 in the last round to Buckley's 45.
Pat Malone won the Custume Scr Cup from Larry Maher by a shot.

    What team are u mate

St. Stephens. Draw is a bit confusing. Looks like we play 18 holesin Lucan and then go to R.G.S.C for another 18 holes on the same day. Is this correct?. Seems like it will be a bit chaotic. Are the courses close to each other?.

Ok ur playing 11.00 in Lucan first then 2.00 in rgsc, ye there 10 mins qway from each other L/R Represent the course and what hole u be starting at..

Best thing to look for is someone where on the naas road to stay or in clondalkin mate

Cheers HITMAN. Makes sense now. Do they do the same process for the top 36 qualifiers for for the Sunday sessions.

I think its all in RGSC Mate

Lads, from looking at the timesheet for the finals to me it seems that it's a straight 36 holes, 18 in Lucan and 18 in RGSC with the winner being the best nett score for the 36 holes.

I have to say that the organisation of this competition has been poor from the PPUI perspective. Looking at the qualifiers it gave 3 senior player's very little chance against well handicapped teams. There are a couple of exceptions like the Loughlinstown lads but overall there are only a couple of senior teams after qualifying from around the country. I believe there needs to be some sort of gross scoring incorporated otherwise teh PPUI are limiting the competition to high handicappers.

Here Here Dugout, we have a handicap of 1 2/3 so we need to do 17/18 under each round to qualify, the final 36 will make the final for sunday in rgsc, then18 for the final 18. The ppui should have allowed 5 gross teams through out of 21 in dublin and everywhere else in ireland as well 1/4 of the tema s gross 3/4 nett, then run a seperate prize.

Will u be going to watch it

The handicap system is harsh alright for the Senior players in the Scramble. I will not complain however as my team of two juniors and one intermediate have an 8 and a 1/3rd handicap for each round. We will need it though as none of us have played in Lucan or R.G.S.C. Definitely if they had a Gross and Nett Competition it would give everyone a fair chance.
