The Collins club seem to have some really good young lads coming up along with the likes of the old heads of Walsh & the Scannells. Suprising to hear its been 12 years since there last senior league title. Yes Damien Fleeming is a very good player and well capable on the big stage. I see Ray Murphy in the top 2 as usual. I heard Billy Buckley - Erry (144) won Cement beating Ian Donnelly - Cement (145) by 1 shot.

Dont worry about the slow play mate its all in pitch and putt and whatever works keep doing it. I havent practiced at all in shandon, its not a course u can go off practicing so just take it on the day. Lucan beat Glenville 6.3

Dromcill wrote: » St. Stephens. Draw is a bit confusing. Looks like we play 18 holesin Lucan and then go to R.G.S.C for another 18 holes on the same day. Is this correct?. Seems like it will be a bit chaotic. Are the courses close to each other?.
Dromcill wrote: » Cheers HITMAN. Makes sense now. Do they do the same process for the top 36 qualifiers for for the Sunday sessions.
DugOut wrote: » Lads, from looking at the timesheet for the finals to me it seems that it's a straight 36 holes, 18 in Lucan and 18 in RGSC with the winner being the best nett score for the 36 holes. I have to say that the organisation of this competition has been poor from the PPUI perspective. Looking at the qualifiers it gave 3 senior player's very little chance against well handicapped teams. There are a couple of exceptions like the Loughlinstown lads but overall there are only a couple of senior teams after qualifying from around the country. I believe there needs to be some sort of gross scoring incorporated otherwise teh PPUI are limiting the competition to high handicappers.
