I will be there! Not sure if can dress like avatar, but might manage something else.......... There will be much drinking of cheap beer I hope?!

Also I want to discuss the finer points of my Ninja Karaoke idea with monkeyfudge and Dr Strangelove. Maybe we can take up Tom's idea of future beers idea and combine it with the ninja idea......?!

Anyways have a good week peeps, and take it sleazy!

I don't think so, but I believe it has a wide range of non-standard (i.e. nice) beers.

    Yeah, good enough.

Once they have a few choice ales, I don't mind paying for them.

Does this place have a website?

At the recent mod beers myself, Tom and Zaff circulated eating from about four or five different platters.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time for the social event of the year.

No, not the annual Bog Snorkelling competition, it's the inaugural BGRH/LL beers.

Venue: The Bull and Castle (note: NOT the Elephant and Castle)

Date: Friday the 4th of April

    Time: 5:30pm till late

Full details, including a map, are in the link above.

Um, is it ok for someone who's not really an active member of either board (occasional lurker on BGRH), neither knows nor is known by any of the members, but who really likes her beer to come along and quiver in a corner in the manner of a frightened rabbit?

Absolutely. Ask any of the girls who attended the last one. If you don't want to walk in on your own, you can arrange to meet some of the Ladies/Brothers (just not DesF).

We are actually nice people, and very welcoming.

Of course. Bring a can of carnation condensed milk ... entrance fee to the mysterious goings-on. Be prepared for huge levels of hawtness and awesome-osity.

    I would very much like to attend but there are a few things currently in my way;

    1. tis in Dublin so I'll have to be financially secure enough (not like now: destitute) to stay up there
    2. never been to a beers before so want my first time to be special :D
    3. crippling initial shyness (fine after about 30 seconds...)
    4. don't know anybody going which leads to magnification of no. 3

Pathetic I know. If I get somebody I know to go with I'll be there, can of
    n00b stuff in hand!!

    It's far from pathetic.

I would consider myself quite confident and social, but I had trouble walking into my first beers (nothing to with the 7 pints I had prior to that). I was nervous enough.

If you are going, you can PM watna your mobile and she will meet you outside and guide you in (there's a load of potential innuendos - do your best, lads).

    She's like our unaccompanied-minors-who-are-not-minors-minder-person.
