Yeah, particularly girls though. Always in such a rush to be an "adult" and then can't handle it when they fck up (i.e pregnancy, ending up with alcohol poisoning, being used for sex etc) and end up crying to mummy and daddy. I love how they then come out with statements such as "Oh my god how did this happen to me" . It's such a deluded mindset, but hey, that's how society is these days and how it was when I was growing up too (but not to such an extent I would imagine).

It's quite prevelant online too, kids wanting to act like and/or fit in with adults, it's certainly present here on Boards anyway.

Guys are a bit different though, always more immature and not in such a massive rush to be an adult. However, they still do things like getting pissed and having sex, but considering guys start jerkin' the gerkin pretty young I suppose it's only natural to want to have sex (given that it's like 1000 times better). Girls just do it to be cool/mature though. Lol @ teen pregnancy.

In fairness rb_ie, there may not be much of a difference between, say, 21 and 24, but there IS a big difference between 13 and 16.

With guys it's literally just a case of sticking it in (yeah I know there's other stuff you enjoy but in terms of the very basics) whereas for girls, a lot of foreplay is required before the physical changes occur that allow us to actually accommodate penetration. No wonder so many really young girls complain about it being sore the first time - if you just get a poke by an inexperienced young lad in your clenched vadge without any foreplay or lube what else is it gonna be but sore? That would be sore even if you WEREN'T a virgin.

Yeah but not that much of a difference. I mean sure, puberty is in full throttle, bodys changing etc but they still have an enormous amount to go before actually being "grown up" or an adult.

There's absolutely no guarantee that pampered, over-privileged kids use protection. And even if they do, it doesn't make it any less fukked up that they're riding at 13 and 14. At least a lot of the kids in Ballymun have the excuse of growing up in difficult circumstances.

BUt, its not the kids faults, its the parents and this goverments stubborness to provide free condoms .

If they had them available maybe kids would use them ,. Maybe it will put the idea of sex into their head, its a no win situation. Both parents and goveremnt need to give the low down on the dangers of not using protection.

Usually,the more educated you are,the more exposed to sexual education you are ie precautions etc

I think it's more fukked up and definitely a big deal for girls to be having sex at 13 or 14 for the reasons I gave in post #39. Being female I know what I'm talking about. The beauty of being an adult when having sex is that if you do have an occasion - as myself and boyfriend did once - when someone walks in on you having sex is that you can simply stop, look at them and ask them to leave.

This only happened to us the one time, when we were on a boating trip with friends, but as we were all adults it was not a problem.

There were many times I have had sex in somewhat inapproprate settings - but have never been caught!!

Sorry, didn't realise it was acceptable to have sex on other people's property while leaving condoms strewn around. Or in a place where people's dead loved ones are lying in wait for burial.

it isnt acceptable,but lots of people have done it/are doing it (not that it makes it right)
ive never thrown a condom somewhere random (also i loled at the stanley story) but ive had to resort to fairly icky stuff when caught in the wilds with a lady friend
