    Thanks John

Might be better to restore to 1.1.1 and see if you can sort the problems before before going to 1.1.3

    Yeah I agree

Presumably you still have the 1.1.1 on your hard drive from the first time you jailbroke the phone

Yep so have, do I put original AT&T sim back in or leave current *sim
    & O2 card in

In which case you need to put the phone into DFU mode (restore mode)
as you did before power and home button etc
then hold shift key and click on restore button select your 1.1.1 image
whenits done use ibrickr (not the new one) to boot the phone out of restore mode (1015 error)

Presume have it plugged into PC and ITunes on?

Then use OKTOPREP and UPDATE to 1.1.2 then you just jailbreak it again and hopefully your phone is back in order (don't forget to use iworld)

Actually don't remember using OKTOPREP last time, do I download
    from somewhere?

or with the clean version you could go to 1.1.3 from 1.1.1 using Nate trues ibrickr method

    Thanks

You need to send a email to meteor data@meteor.ie and saying

My Number is 085 bla and you want to get ISP access Active on your account.

    Will Take about 2 days.

Bare in mind its very very expensive.

I have to say, i'm happy enough with my 112 OTB phone and stealthsim. I'd like to update to 113 but am seeing way too many horror stories to warrant an update just yet. Think i'll wait a few weeks till things and bugs settle down.

Am getting "This device is not made to work with iPhone. Would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to reduce audio interference? You will not be able to make or recieve calls" message

do not update to 1.1.3 via iTunes that would update your baseband and may leave the phone unusable for a couple of weeks

You need to restore to 1.1.1 then run ibrickr to get it out of restore mode 1015 error

then jailbreak Oktoprep and update and jailbreak

You can use *#307# to check and see what firmware you are on or the 4th and 5th number of your serial number is a good indication

If I downgrade from 1.1.3 and back up to 1.1.2 when do I run anysim to unlock my phone is it when it is 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 my phone was a 1.1.1 with moden firmware 04.01.13_g before I upgraded with the ibrickr method?

Interesting, so should work with a jailbroken OTB 1.1.3 phone?

i had heard that Apple changed the 1.1.3 baseband so that it continuously checks the sim and not just at startup, therefore stopping all xsims from working

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,658 ✭✭✭PowerHouseDan

Yeah Should Work with OTB 1.1.3 otb 1.1.3 cannot be got yet though. This X-sim we have is programmed with the lastest update for 1.1.3 its very like the Sim the same card works with ALL iphones.

Did one of the kids put it in their mouth or anything

Sounds like the source of your problems is as described in the link I would follow that advice

Just power the phone down completely first

Try your luck back in the Apple Store just take your sim out and restore it to 1.1.2 and act stupid

iPhone Charger: Doen't charge iPhone but does charge iPod
Old iPod charger (which I used previously to charge iPhone): Charges both iPhone and iPod.

Wonder did the old iPod charger (not apple made, 3rd party btw) do some hardware damage or feck up the iPhone in some way (e.g. causing above "This device is not made to work with iPhone" error) which in turn casuing current issues?

Is there a way to reset it to original settings without iTunes?

But sure Apple will check the warrenty on it first which the warrenty wont be active.

You can reset the settings in the iphone by going to setting/general/reset but dont see it making a diff
