Welcome to the final round of Survivor: Boards.ie! This is the last Survivor thread in the present season and the winner will stand to win 25 euros in vouchers. I know that up until now, i've been very neutral in my game strategy.And i've said i didnt want the prize. But it occured to me today that i do infact,want it quite badly. Please vote for me. I will ask Grdon that the prize go here or to a similar organization in the name of the boards.ie community.

since i've offered to donate the prize to diabetes research, i've actually received several votes against me. so i will sweeten the deal by putting my money where my mouth is so to speak. If i win, i will make an additional personal donation in the name of boards.ie to the research of Cystic Fibrosis.help fight 2 diseases with one little click. vote for tovalee!!!!!

hi, if you were referring tothis post i put in the accessability/mobility/ disablity forum, i apologize, i didnt mean to offend anyone. that is the only forum ,and in fact the only mention of survivor i've put anywhere outside of the thread itsself and only thought it might be an appropriate forum to raise awareness to the fact that I honestly am intending to donate the money to researching genetic diseases. again i apologize for any misunderstanding, i only titled the thread "spamming for a cure" as a sort of tongue in cheek gesture but apparently it was not taken as such.

I could go on to another forum and tell people about the money i've given to charity's but i wont because it is not in very good taste.

tovalee, the fact that you advertised what was supposed to be a "good deed" in order to attain votes for yourself in the final pretty much nullifies the idea of this being a "good deed" and leaves it looking like a stunt in order to win the game.

oh for petes sake, i give up. vote for whoever for crying out loud. they're getting their donation one way or the other the only difference is i wanted to put it in the name of boards.ie. I posted one thread on one forum which was the closest thing i could find to an appropriate forum. It's awful that people are so jaded that you cant even try to do a good deed without being looked at with suspicion.

I understand your frustration tovalee. Boards is being hit quite a lot by spammers, and more recently we're suffering due to losing ecksor and his wonderfully intolerant ways.

With that in mind, the nature of the AH board, and given the previous PM spamming from MNG, we've been watching the survivor participants quite closely. When you posted on AMD it was not appreciated due to this past history, and not because of some perverse wish to punish you for good deeds.

Perhaps you're a little unfortunate in this case, but at the same time note that you have not yet been banned

People are looking at your "good deed" with suspicion because you went to a forum for disabled people and highlighted what you were doing and you asked them to vote for you. Add this to your earlier realisation that you badly want to win this contest and you're left with a contestant who has left her sneakiness until very late indeed!

This "good deed" stinks of being a voting ploy and it remains to be seen how many people will be influenced by it.

its only a fecking game! diabetes actually means something to a lot of people. (i know, I work in Diabetic Nephropathy research). This is not something to be toyed with for the purpose of winning this pissant little competition.
