2023 Enyaqs are like hen's teeth, I think it was the end of 23 before the supply improved.

We were looking to buy an Enyaq in 22/23 but the waiting times were too long.

Yep, seems to be very limited numbers. Even more so in the north.

I can't really warm to an ID.4, but might need to look at it again.

Definitely scarce in 2023. 5-6 months from order to delivery with Skoda around that time. Q4 e-Tron might be worth looking at too as it’s an identical car underneath.

Yes they all seem to start around 32k.

If its any use, we got a base model 2023 80 down to €28.5 from €32k before the weekend in Western Motors Drogheda, deposit paid but the pictures looked silver, upon inspection it was actually Arctic Silver, so we pulled out, it may still be available if you are still looking.

It is our first step into EV, ended up getting a top spec 2023 60 instead for a few grand less (25k (2k less than advertised), if we enjoy it, the idea is to upgrade to the 80 in 2/3 years if needed.. but 90% of our annual journeys are 100kms each way or less. the other 10% we would pull in for anyway, so hoping we made the right choice!

    You have indeed.

The 80 would be nice, but realistically not at a premium given the sheer number of chargepoints now available.

Thanks, looking forward to collecting it tomorrow, the upgraded spec was a great bonus considering everything else is the base model for the same starting price.

Panoramic sunroof & leather heated seats.

Anyone else shed some light on other"upgrades" or features to look out for in them?

Most of the spec was generally added in packs but most private buyers were keen to stay below the threshold to get the €5K SEAI grant at the time. Clever pack, upgraded alloys & metallic paint were the most popular options to a 60 or 80 base model. Sportline models had great spec but were just too expensive to sell in big numbers.

Brochure from late 2022 on the link below should give you a steer on the MY23 cars; https://www.msl.ie/assets/1/product-brochures/skoda/enyaq-my23_june22_pg.pdf

The 80 has 30% more battery, faster DC charging and slightly more spec than a 60. Definitely worth a bit of a premium as a used car over a 60. The number of charge points available is helpful but having to pay close to 70c per kWh for the privilege would push many buyers toward an 80 or 85. Obviously if you very rarely have to use public chargers then a 60 will do the same job for less outlay.

80 of course is the ideal situation but 7k difference in price (5k if lucky) was just out of budget.

Hopefully in a few years time we can upgrade to it (if we need it)

the 10% out of our range is about 1500kms a year. which would be a few days trips/staycations - 2 or 3 a year that we always pull in for anyway.

the other 90% is based off max 180-230kms round trip twice a month

The rest of our journeys are 40kms a day (most of the time) but will always be below 120kms per day if needing to venture further a field for "dads taxi" to games

So hoping the 90% will have enough juice to be charged at home and only use public for the 10% or if we ever got stuck.

all things considered, yes we could have got 100s of 2023 or newer EVs with bigger batteries in our budget, but it was always going to be the Enyaq, to us, it always stood out as our favourite (plus the OH loved our previous superb, so was a non-negotiable😂 ). So research has said the 60 should do us currently for what we need (we hope!)

An Enyaq is a decent option no matter the battery size. I was just pointing out to Mojomaker that an 80 does deserve to command a premium over a 60 whatever about the proliferation of public charge points. You’re right though that €5K extra is way too much extra to pay if you can manage with the 60. Unlikely you’d see much of it back when you’d go to sell it on.

I wouldn't be rushing for one of the ones with the sunroof/panoramic roofs. Seem to be more than hassle than they're worth.

Just picked up an Enyaq 2022. I'm registered in the car but the app is saying activation needed and doesn't even seem to be showing the basics like charging and preheating. Do you need to pay for everything if not the first owner?

It’s free for 36 months on a new car so it’s well expired on a 2022 now. I think it’s €15 approx for 12 months for remote access. Well worth having to defrost the car on a cold morning.

Nice one thanks! Realised I needed to reinstall the app on the car and it has given me 3 free months, but yeah seems not too unreasonable to pay beyond that. What an absolute pleasure of a car to be in and drive!

Yes €15 isn’t too bad. Keep an eye on your rear tyres, some early cars had poor alignment and the inner edges get worn prematurely.

I’ve a 21 . When I bought it there were cracks on the inside they were so worn

I see over on the Elroq thread the ship has finally sailed from Emden port. I ordered a new 130 Enyaq second half of November and hoping I'm on it. Didn't hear anything from dealer today so will check tomorrow.

Ok thanks. Not hopeful so if no word from my dealer with a positive update.

Wonder will the infotainment updates make their way OTA to existing owners?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,190 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Current facelift cars possibly but unlikely for the earlier/original version. The likes of the frunk might be an easy but expensive retrofit. They’d need to be good strong gas struts as the bonnet is pretty heavy. V2L may work on existing cars too if it can be enabled, it’s already in the submenus on the current infotainment. It’s been promised for quite a while.
