    Definitely seems better value than before.

    Even the base model 85 @€45K has 20” alloys, fake leather upholstery and an electric tailgate. “Energy blue” is the only free exterior colour which is pretty awful. Any decent colour is an extra €777. Option packs seem poor value and €7500 extra for the sportline trim would be hard to justify.

    Yes for sure. The Enyak was always the better ID4 but not worth the prices asked in the past. They are a lovely looking SUV. I’d say they should see a bump in sales now.

    There’s a lot of 85 models on DD for €50k plus, something will have to happen with them now as the new facelift is €52,750 OTR.

    Yes, pricing has literally killed Enyaq sales numbers here for the past 18months. Elroq/Enyaq prices are now quite close for comparable bigger battery versions.

    Used Enyaqs will surely take a dip now too but there’s never big numbers of them available other than 60 models.

    Much improved offering and price. Not crazy on the colours. I've been through 2 Kodiaqs and have 2 enyaqs. Colour choices have always been a bit disappointing compared to other brands. Disappointing to see Phoenix Orange dropped. Loved it.

    Race blue can look nice but best on a sportline where the bumpers are fully colour coded. The lower silver cladding on the base models looks a bit 80’s.

    Yeah agree though I like the silver and green tbf. Pretty sure my wife will want another one so will prob go for green or steel grey with wheel upgrade

    The pricing structure is really interesting. As highlighted earlier...it's quite close to that of the Elroq as the larger car (essentially the boot), it feels like you could be getting more bang for your buck.

    One stickler is (for Elroq orders). Why has the electric tailgate been made an option on the Elroq, yet standard on the facelift Enyaq?

    I found the boot lid to be quite heavy on the Elroq (manual version)

    The manual tailgate is just as heavy on both I suspect as the boot doors look identical and are both cheap steel doors with a lot of glass. The only reason I can think is that the average/best selling Elroq will be substantially cheaper than the average Enyaq. The majority of Enyaqs built probably had electric tailgates, It might just makes sense to standardise the production line for this item.

    and on the Elroq, that rubber handle is gone which makes the handle even harder to reach for people trying to close a manual boot…

    Yes, i'd agree there on the reasons for selling the new model with a electric taillift as standard. By the boot i meant the cubic capacity (not sure on the material differences between models but i suspect it's the same. I doubt it's a cheap steel however as there are stringent enough performance standards to meet). The manual boot handle on the Elroq isn't great as mentioned. Way too high up.

    I wonder about the future resale value / which of the two models will hold onto more of it.

    My reference to “cheap steel” is in no way a reflection on the quality of the steel used. My point is their choice of “metal” for the tailgate which is why it’s so heavy. A Q7 has a huge tailgate but it’s made from aluminium (approx 3 times lighter than steel).

    Fair enough. Ye i didn't have enough time with the car but it was either the lid was heavy or there are stiffer struts...just felt like i was doing some weight training xD.

    I'm really not sure on the models now. Both the Elroq and Enyaq are very closely priced with some pros and cons with the standard features on offer.

    The tailgates on both are definitely heavy but it’s nothing you wouldn’t get used to if you’re able bodied. An electric tailgate is nice to have but often with Skoda you have add an expensive pack or whatever instead of individual options. If it’s a dealbreaker, an electric tailgate can be retrofitted but you’re probably looking at €1000.

    Hi. On the price list page on Skoda.ie for the new Enyaq it states the following -

    *Maximum electrical output of 210kW (85x Sportline) can be accessed for a maximum of 10 seconds, calculated in accordance with UN GTR.21. The amount of power available in individual driving situations depends on various factors, such as ambient
    temperature and the charge status, temperature and condition or physical age of the high-voltage battery. The availability of the maximum power requires the high-voltage battery to be between 23°C and 50°C and have a charge level of > 88%.

    Does that only apply to Sportline 85x and is the standard Enyaq 85 - 286bhp at all times regardless of battery percentage as I'm looking at the 85 in next few days.

    I know people that won’t buy green cars as they think they are bad luck!

    I don’t mind it so much, my last green car was an E36.

    I like that pale green on the Enyaq, might not be everyone's up of tea but it beats every single car on the road being silver, black or white. There's a serious lack of colour on the roads.

    Yes, there’s a distinct lack of decent colours available with nearly all the manufacturers in recent years. That olive green is nice but the silver elements let it down for me. Might not be a problem if you picked a sportline to get body coloured bumpers.

    Definitely looks more modern at the front but the rear end should really have got some bit of a refresh too. It looks like they just forgot about the backend. Have to go sportline to get colour coded bumpers.

    I always thought the Enyaq was the best looking of the crossover EVs.
