Not a single flash and I was expecting some based on comments on here or online. And the Letterkenny trip was up the N2 through Ardee, Omagh etc so not particularly well lit either.

Easiest thing to do I lower both 2-3 clicks in service menu and see how you go

Out of the crate the MY lights are set too high.

Anytime I am blinded by oncoming lights in a suburban setting in the last 2 years or so I always look to see the brand, and 9/10 times it's a Model Y at fault.

As Cyrus notes, park up facing a wall or a window and set the lights to point down a couple of clicks in the service menu.

Agreed, I also live in dark rural roads and the last winter I was getting flashed every few cars. I then adjusted the beams down a few turns of the scroll wheel and now it’s rare to get a flash. When going over a hill it can still hit someone dead on the eyes but that’s the same for all and luckily it usually briefly.

I also get the odd one when a car is more than ~600 meters away on a straight before the matrix beams adjust.

Hey guys, thinking on getting a model Y in Jan, what efficiency are you guys getting? Interested to know about the new 2026 Juniper, if you can specify how many km are you doing and getting would be great!

Just look at ev database if you want a reasonably accurate range estimate per model and per conditions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 irishnian

yeah I did but I assume is not very accurate because I have an ID4 pro plus and not getting anywhere near the values they show there unfortunately, that’s why I was wondering…

Everyone’s driving style is slightly different but to be fair to EV Database, I have always found it to be pretty accurate.

That's unusual I've generally found it spot on, what range are you getting from the id4 and what does everyone database say,

Which version of the juniper are you looking at ?

getting efficiency of 19kwh/100km (no heat pump)

I sometimes do Crossmolina to Lahinch and it eats 50% of the battery to get there so I definitely need a top up on the way back, even in summer and I basically go at the speed limit from the roads. It’s a mix of 80-100 and a last stretch of 120km when I get the M17-18. It’s 200km so I was expecting perhaps something like 60% battery left?

looking to get the latest model y since I’ve been reading and watching reviews and seems the efficiency is pretty good

For Tesla Mod Y RWD Junipeer see range stats. While it is a simple question unfortunately the answer is more complex as there are multiple variables some controllable (single or multi journey, speed, acceleration) some not controllable (temperature, weather, terrain). The stats below provide some insigths but take note of the notes as cold weather is defined as minus 10!

Given Tesla won’t want your old ID.4, your cost to change into a new ID.4 might be significantly less.

Tesla don't want their own cars back. All trade-ins are offered out to a network of dealers. Doesn't matter if it's a Model 3, or a Diesel Focus.

They say that but they've been flooding their preowned website the last month or so with trade in 3 and Ys, currently 29 on offer but was loads more a few weeks back

My stuff on Adverts, mostly Tesla Pre Highland Model 3

I think they do cherry pick the nicest models that pop up on trade-in requests where they know the incoming model is likely to be pristine and/or easy to sell.
