I see July was the busiest month ever for Cork, 378k passengers. 400k passengers for this month could be likely now!

Any updates on when Ryanair will officially launch their Winter 25/26 schedule? Any rumours of any new routes, schedule increases, schedule decreases, beyond what is already showing on their website?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,021 ✭✭✭revelman

I would say it is what is on their website now. Quite late in the day to be launching new routes for just over 2 months time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭TheBetsy

I think at this stage the most like changes are further decreases. For example, last year many routes were reduced in frequency for the month of January, those decreases dont seem to be reflected at this stage

Their full S26 schedules will started getting loaded in the next few weeks, it’s a bit late for the winter schedule now😆

Anyone know if Ryanair will be continuing Rhodes and Sardinia flights next year and if so when will they resume ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 198 ✭✭TheBrownBird32

Rhodes will be start of June and Sardinia April/May.

They have only half the schedule loaded for next summer, the rest should be up sometime next month

I notice on the SunExpress website they have loaded flights to Izmir over Christmas and the New year. Good to see, they must be getting good numbers.

Just a quick question is there any bars or restaurants that I can grab a pint and a bit a lunch before going threw security?

There are two cafés, at least one of them also serves pints. Hot food only after security AFAIR.

Is the new Kinsale airport lounge accepting the Priority Card?

The Aspire Lounge did previously but I heard there were difficulties with the new operator.

I’v just spotted on the Ponta Delgada Airport Wikipedia page that flights from Cork start on April 1st 2026. Is this real or is it an early April Fools.

There are only 4 Ryanair routes from PDL - Lisbon, Stansted, Charleroi and Porto. Don’t think it’s likely Cork is going to be added, you would think they would try Dublin first, right? It would definitely be an interesting new route to have anyway.

Jesus I was in a panic earlier. I'm driving up from Waterford to fly to Croatia tomorrow only to discover parking is fully booked including CAPS. Somehow after 10 mins short term appeared with availability for the week which i jumped on.

I used to fly to London weekly up to 18 months ago but haven't flown at all since last September. Never had any issues with parking until now.

I thought with the kids back to school parking would be grand, boy was I wrong.

If you go ahead and drive up to the holiday blue or the express red car parks on the morning, there will more than likely be place. I belive they dont sell 100% of spaces online so there is space for walk ins. Should be good bit cheaper than the short term multi story aswell.

On a separate note, has the Aspire lounge closed and the Kinsale lounge opened? Has anyone been in the Kinslale lounge if so?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 350 ✭✭normanbond

Just been told that the Kinsale lounge is open and has replaced the Aspire.

Has anyone got a telephone number for the Kinsale lounge?

on the odd occasion Ryanair run routes from Cork or Shannon and not from Dublin. A couple of years ago Ryanair ran Winter flights from Cork to Mallorca but not from Dublin. I remember talking to Dubliners on a flight who were unhappy that they had to come to Cork.

Hi all, flying from Cork in a few months with 2 kids and was wondering abt car parking..

Red express or blue holiday, which is actually closer? Also, do they have the luggage trolleys somewhere in any of those car parks as i don't fancy walking back to car from terminal just for bags, especially if it's pissing out!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,232 ✭✭✭Chris_5339762

When last I saw, the new lounge was for Aer Lingus etc but oddly enough KLM was not on the list.

Also VHIs delay lounge access is not available either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,771 ✭✭✭hans aus dtschl

Yes there's usually trolleys in the long term car parks, but not at a dedicated single big bay, usually just left in individual small bays, left by other passengers bringing luggage back to the car park.

But personally - if you're not on your own - I usually drop the other adult(s) at the door with the kids and bags, park the car, and walk back down to them. It's much easier overall.

Edit: Red is easier than Blue but both can be roughly same distance depending on where you park. Red requires no road crossings, steps, ramps, etc. As I said, I often park in Blue, and just dash down the steps myself. Cork airport really is easy with small kids either way don't worry.

Maybe so but that's a ludicrous risk to take in my opinion.

Anyhow I got there just after 3 this afternoon. Had to park on the roof of the short stay it was that wedged. On the walk over to the lifts I took a gander over at blue. Not 1 single available space could I see.

I won't be taking that chance again. I'll be making sure to book long stay well in advance.

If you see on social media Cork airport themselves have responded to people asking about parking saying they always reserve space for walk ups, so hardly ludicrous if they are saying it themselves.

Based off a screenshot in Reddit, it seems Aer Lingus accidentally showed direct flights from Cork to Newark this week. It seems to be posted by the Cork Airport staff member who has leaked other route info

Rest of Ryanair’s summer schedules are going up and it’s not good looking. Lot’s of decreased frequencies and aircraft from other airports being used. Looking like 3 aircraft for S26 so far

EDIT: Schedules so far show 4 based aircraft from June, like 2024.

word of caution. Last year they put up final schedule only in December and lots of destinations appeared only then. So I would not be too pessimistic. Cork is growing
