More tickets sent to clubs yesterday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭julyjane

Meanwhile Cork gaa have announced that all tickets are distributed and there will be no more. It will be interesting to see the split of red and blue on Sunday. I don't have a ticket in my hand yet but I'm 90% certain I'll get one, I was terrified of being surrounded by Cork people.

The Cork crowd tend to be fatter so it will look like there's more of them there!

    Ouch that's harsh ….

You called that well for the last match! Will Darragh start and will Jason take over free taking duties from the start Sunday?

I think he will start with O'Donoghue to come on for him later in the game.

Forde on the frees for me. We can't afford to miss any of them and the missed two in the second half the last day could have been very costly.

I think Tynan might start in midfield ahead of Connors. While Stakelum was very good in midfield for us the last day, the Kilkenny midfield also had a very good day and scored heavily. If the same room is left to the Cork midfield, we will pay for it dearly.

Defensive match ups will be very interesting.

    • Doyle on Horgan
    • O'Mara on Barrett
    • Breen on Connolly
    • Morgan on Healy

    are the obvious ones.

Ronan and Eoghan Connolly then for Hayes and Dalton, possibly Connolly on Dalton and follow him out the field. Both of them would have to watch the other carefully and it might disrupt Dalton a bit to have to keep an eye on Connolly scoring.

Ronan on Hayes is a risky one, he should be able for him aerially and prevent those effective tap downs to onrushing forwards, but would be very worried about the pace differential here and Hayes would look to run him at every chance.

Enjoy the day tomorrow wherever you're watching. If anyone is in the vicinity of Talbot St I think the Sean Treacy commemoration is worth checking out, I think it's on at 12. Even passing through to croke Park you'll catch some of it

Corkman here; congratulations to you. I know there were a lot of Cork supporters very confident before the game so it must be a very satisfying win for ye in that respect. But I wasn't one of the ones that was confident beforehand. I always though there was a chance of an upset.

First thing the lad beside me said when he sat down.

Large contingent of Cork fans stayed around to watch the presentation. Classy

What an amazing result. Wasn't expecting it at all but was thinking if we won it would be a close run thing. But this, wow. Amazing.

Commiserations to Cork, I know how it badly it hurts, Tipp have been there and done that.

    WWell done Tipp.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 586 ✭✭✭1373

Thank you. Cork suffered the same fate as Kilkenny in 2010 , over confident. My brother attended a GAA questions and answers evening in Cork during the week, he told me genuine Cork supporters and ex players could not see Tipp keeping up with with Cork. That's a bad way to head into an All Ireland especially against a team with a great record in finals

Well done to tipp today. Maher, mccarthy exceptional.

as a limerick man on the cork border id like to say god bless everyone of the Tipp players for that second half, it was a thing of beauty. Hammering and embarrassing Cork like that is just class. Watching that yesterday was almost as good as watching the limerick victories. Enjoy the celebrations Up Tipp

Just want say well done Tipp yesterday.

Ye absolutely destroyed us in second half.

Hope you all enjoyed the celebrations.

You have class support, class players and not least a class manager who is master tactician. Most importantly he is class man too.

    Enjoy.

Best chance in a long time. Confidence must be surging through those players. They defo have a chance but look at Clare this year, less njuries and a couple of different ref calls and they could have got out of Munster.

Really hopeful this is the start of a new period of competitiveness for Tipp. That they will be there or there abouts consistently with the top 2 or 3 teams at the latter stages of the All Ireland.
