DART+ (DART Expansion)

I had known years ago that the Dart stations in Blackrock & Seapoint were unmanned pre-covid. Although Seapoint had removed the ticket barriers years before Blackrock. Does Blackrock Dart Station still have ticket barriers installed or have they been removed since Covid?

It makes sense to have fewer barriers if the transport plan is for integrated multi-modal trips and ticket types that favour this. The TFI 90min ticket works much better for example

Blackrock has 4 turnstiles and remains a staffed station most of the day, no booking office ticket sales (doesn't have the new retail system) but there is a staff member there

Given how busy it is and that it’s a stop on the Rosslare line, makes some sense for them to have people resources there for issues that arise.

One thing I’d be interested in is if they will try and rent out over the station again. They tried it a few years ago but didn’t happen. Also there is some cool concepts out there for the parking space around the station. It’s not Irish Rail related and they’ll be loathe to do it but some options there with the land around the station in future years I’d have thought.

Ah, wasn't aware there was still staff during the week! I suppose the times I've been there have mainly been at the weekends.

I wonder will there be any details of the Kylemore station? Would be a bit unfair if Cabra gets its new dart station and ballyfermot doesn't
