Best of luck to Peter and all the team tomorrow.. I think we have a great chance tomorrow, Everyone expecting a Tipperary win after their performance against Clare last weekend. the 2 week break should stand to us going into the last 15 minutes. Also, Waterford love playing in Thurles and will relish being the underdogs and will have a Big Waterford following there aswell. UP THE DEISE

Can't believe its 2 years since our seniors last played in Thurles

Was at the Limerick match and our half forward line just couldn’t compete for our puck outs. Kiely has been brought in for that but I’d rather see him on the edge of the square. Really need a big game from Dessie tomorrow, to be honest I’ve been disappointed in him the last few years, terrific hurler but he hasn’t really set the world alight with his performances for Waterford. I like what I see in Gavin Fives, hurls very like Darragh, gonna be tough tomorrow so let’s hope we can get over the line

Spare stand ticket available for O’Riain, Section 123 if anyone is looking for a good seat.

Physical ticket so can meet in Thurles or in Waterford this morning.

Drop me a PM if looking

Agreed on Dessie, his performances have not justified the hype surrounding him.

Hopefully I get proven wrong today!

Been a while since I drove up to thurles from the city - any tips for the best parking spots for a handy exit after the game. Was thinking Holycross

it’s like the old days straight knock (or close enough anyway) in thurles on a sunny summers day. It’s the exact situation that both Waterford and Tipp would have taken at start of the year playing each other for a winner takes all. Hard to call it, really is a 50-50 game. Tipp have a bit of momentum after last week and their under 20s also winning during the week so expect a big Tipp crowd today hopefully big crowd from here travels and makes themselves heard the lads will need it. Hopefully come out on the right side today and have the all Ireland series to follow

I usually turn off in Kilsheelan and go the fethard way. You end up coming into thurles near the church. Think there is roadworks between clonmel and cahir so would avoid that road

Be hoping for a big Waterford crowd today. It's only 10 or 15 mins extra of a drive for much of the west of the county compared to Walsh Park and a lot more convenient once there.

Have a feeling it could be one of those days we'll look back on with fondness in years to come, though I have been out in the sun a lot recently!

Best of luck to the team and management today. Huge occasion

    Safe travels to all

Not as confident as some on here - Tipp have impressed in all 3 games - Liam has them playing well. We need a lot more from our forwards today - can't be relying on Stephen for the bulk of our scores.

Forget to mention, don't forget sunscreen today

What hype? todays a day to be getting behind the lads and not cutting them down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,498 ✭✭✭Mastermcgrath

don’t think anyone’s over confident. Tipp are bookies favourites and justifiably so. I think people are just highlighting that we are inwith a massive shout today. I think if we get the calls right on the sideline we have what it takes, nullify the early goal onslaught like Clare failed to do we can be well in this game coming down the home stretch and we have a strong bench with plenty of runners. John McGrath is the man to be watched imo he did awful damage against us in 2016 Munster final which we shouldn’t forget a real goal poacher

Big crowds around early. These are the days we wait all year for. Let's get behind them big time. Up the deise!

Bring the scorers on my god the missed chances. This game is there for us.

Should be level, they are efficient and we are exactly the opposite. Some very poor wides

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,640 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

Our first touch is worse than under 15 level

Yet again when Waterford has pressure to perform we produce nothing, our shooting, first touch and use of the ball was awful. Another season over before June. That Tipp team are good but not special, we made it easy for them with our terrible wides
