looking dodgy for a while but in fairness finished very strongly, good character in the team don’t let the heads drop and also plenty of lads that are very good in the air. Final in 2 weeks against cork will be great experience for them. On a side note mark Rodger’s brother Paul who was 14 for Clare looks like a carbon of mark definitely one for the future

First time beating Clare at minor since 2014 which is all kinds of mad

Hopefully another long streak to be beaten tomorrow with a first win over Limerick since 2011

Great result. Clare half backs had a good display I thought but our lads stuck it out when Clare looked to be pulling away. Spain's goal was very fortuitous but a very encouraging team performance overall.

I enjoyed that, really good game. Clare showed great fight at start of second half but Waterford rallied.

Waterford got themselves back into game before getting the lucky goal.

Special mention for the Waterford #4 in the last 10 mins, bounced up off the ground after a high tackle saving Clare player a red but more to say "I'm not fcuking hurt". Manly stuff, bravo 👏

They're a great side to watch and credit to the management team, they again looked a really well drilled team who are always trying to do the right things even when under pressure.

Just landed in Mt Sion, parked and having a few . Fantastic set up here .
Looking forward to a cracking game. Limerick need to find sone decent form, bug game required from Byrnes and Finn behind him. Think CON will start ahead of Tom.
Very wary of Waterford forward line, could go either way.
Limerick to pull away by a couple of points in the last 10

Have a feeling Limerick may blow Waterford out of it, just don’t think Waterford have enough physicality all over the field. Limerick by 9 points

best of luck to the team today. Think it will be a big ask to get over the line. A lot depends on what Limerick turns up, the limerick we have seen the last few years or one that has signs that the mileage is starting to catch up with them. Kiely has gone with his tried and trusted. Big worry is the size of limerick compared to ourselves especially from 5 to 12. We could be under pressure on the puck outs especially with Mickey kiely not starting. It will be interesting to see how Kyle hayes gets on at six! Will he be disciplined enough to hold the centre as he does love driving forward? Hannons legs were starting to go but he was a steady influence back there and protected the full back line. Maybe it’s something we can exploit. I know we haven’t beaten Limerick since I think 2011 but we ran them close in two of the last three meetings (22 & 23) so hopefully today might be the day we overturn the green machine

Feels like a big Limerick crowd are in early. I hope our supporters can make as much noise as last week.

If Waterford win this evening it will be great for everyone really, because it really will put Limerick on the rack and under the pump as such.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭decies

We need a great start to second half and some how get a goal or two we are not going to out point them saying that they will look for a goal to kill is off . Some of the wides very poor .

    Who's the panellists on GAAGO?

This Waterford team have too many of the same type of player in the forwards, too many small lads, not able to win their own ball. Two big lads Austin Gleeson and Sean Walsh sitting on the bench and they bring on another small lad in Padraig Fitzgerald on instead of them. Crazy stuff.
