I wonder has converting keanes road end to a terrace and not seating increased that capacity, making up for what is lost at the city end?

any tickets come back from Limerick?

Jesus that’s a very strong team named by limerick. On paper way stronger than the one that played against Tipp

interesting how wide the spread of clubs is in the limerick side - 11 different clubs in the starting 15 and 5 different clubs on the bench.

Don't think Queally names dummy teams so might start as selected. Will need Aussie involved asap ! Wonder if Kiely is still carrying a bit of an injury. Every game is vital and Limerick cannot afford to lose, with Cork up next.

From a Limerick perspective, its a strong team, but we would need a few players to step up a level from the Tipp game if we're to win. Byrnes, Hegarty, Tom Morrissey, Reidy all had fairly moderate performances in Thurles.

Stephen Bennett will be a target no doubt

Tickets were returned from Limerick. They went on sale on Ticketmaster yesterday afternoon.

I’d agree with this. It’s a strong Limerick team on paper certainly. But I don’t think Finn is at the elite levels he was a few years ago after his injury, Mike Casey seems to have dropped off marginally also. Byrnes while still very good isn’t the force of nature he once was. Tom Morrissey to me is similar. Nothing to say some of these won’t step up again on Saturday or later in the year of course.

Hayes was named 6 the last day but started at 11, do we expect to see him at 6 on Saturday or will they rejig again?

All in all, I think a rested Limerick vs our 6 day turn around may be enough to tip the balance in their favour. I certainly hope I’m wrong though.

Yeah Kiely is still managing the ankle injury so the 6 day turnaround is too short for him.

Equally, Aussie only came on when the game was one. Maybe he will see more time if we are in trouble second half but I wouldn't expect him to feature for very long

Very strong Limerick team. This is a must win game for them with the two tough ones to follow. I’d expect them to be well up for this. We’ll need to start fast again and hope we get a couple of goals.

I’m happy enough with the team. Good to see Patrick Fitzgerald get a start. I’d have Kiely in but I’m sure he’ll make an appearance and have a big say. Interesting to see Jamie back at midfield which most of us have been saying was our weak spot. I’d imagine he’ll rotate a bit with Jack and try confuse the Limerick defense.
I think Dessie is due a big game. 1-5 from play would be nice.

I can’t ever remember a time we had a full compliment of players available, aside from the lads who have opted out this year obviously. I know Aussie and Kiely have been carrying slight knocks but at least they’re on the bench and will see game time

best of luck to the minors tonight big game against a very good Clare team. Winner into the Munster final loser in the all Ireland series. I’d say one of this teams goals for the year was definitely getting to a Munster final so hopefully they can do it and I’d say they would love another crack at cork in the process

Same! I'll take any tickets going

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭914

No matter what side Limerick put out it's going to be a strong side.

It makes no odds, the lads just need to treat this as a Munster final on your home turf, go balls out and hope for the best.

If we aren't good enough to get over the line then so be it, the Tipp game becomes another Munster final.

minors up by 1 at half time, probably should be more ahead have had a lot of wides

Good character in this Waterford minor team. That game was ebbing and flowing for long stretches but when Waterford hit purple patch in 53-56 minute, there was realistically only one winner. Our ability to win duels aerially in that second half was massive.

What a last ten mins from the minors. Outstanding. Into Munster final

brilliant win for the minors. Came alive in the last 10 mins, polar opposite to the Cork game when they were better then lost it on the last 10. some serious young lads coming through. Another shot at Cork now in the Munster final
