The girl cashier at the local petrol station has loads of piercings. Not something that normally bothers me but she has a septum piercing with two black beads on the end which are partially in her nose and look like black snot.

Wake me up when it's all over.

I've some streaming subscriptions and I've a terrible habbit of watching the same thing over and over instead of something new!

Just bought Diablo 4 for the PS5. The game server disconnected and kicked me out twice in the space of 15 minutes. Apparently it’s a recurring problem with the game servers for over a year now that the developers Blizzard still haven’t bothered sorting out.

The UK government wants there to be no rules on Ai eg ai is allowed to access all tv shows movies books for it's database. I think any writer artist movie director should be allowed an easy way to opt out of ai database,s. All the ai startups are located in China or America . Like right now websites can opt out of google search they want to

Coat pockets with zips on them. I know they are supposed to be good for keeping things from falling out but I’m sick of ripping my hand against the sharp edges every time I put them in to the pocket and it makes it difficult to keep your hands in them when it’s cold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,990 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

I've the almost exact opposite TA. I get really annoyed if pocket zips ever get damaged to the extent I'll throw the garment away.

Wake me up when it's all over.

That must be Nigel with the brie...

I came back to the carpark to find that ninny 1 had reversed right up pressing against my back bumper and ninny 2 had parked on my drivers side leaving about 6 inches space. There were plenty of free spaces, even one right beside them so n2 had no business parking anywhere near me. I had to climb in the passenger side which ain't pretty.

Bought two packs of stick on floor tiles, just as a short term measure, same items same company, except they're not. Ever so slight differences in the two packs 😡

Theres way to many ads on tv ,YouTube for gambling apps , years ago if you wanted to gamble you had to go to a betting shop or some place with poker machines ,now you just turn on your phone .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,487 ✭✭✭✭cj maxx

I agree and they all say gamble responsibly , like they give a hoot . My TA is I put a £10 bet on Argentina for the World Cup @6/1 and I don’t know if I ever claimed it .

Shops not applying offers unless you point it out. Twice this week in the same fuel station chain, for anonymity let's call them Triangle H.

Saw an offer of a muffin for a euro with any coffee and thought somebody at home will enjoy a one euro muffin, go for it. Get to till and I watch what he keys in (I'm one of those people, sorry) and full price of muffin goes in. He asks for the total and I ask, is that muffin not meant to be a euro, at which point he hits a key on the till and the total reduces by about two euro odd, he replies yeah, I've added the offer.

Yesterday was getting a 2L of Pepsi and the price was 3.79 each or two for five, so I got two. Exact same thing happened, he asked for full amount (different station) and when I pointed out it was meant to be five euro, not nearly eight, he hit one key and the total went down. Same response again, yeah I applied the offer.

I can only imagine how many people are getting ripped off every day if they don't watch the till entry. I'm actively avoiding Triangle H from now on as I really hate this dodgy behaviour.

If you're in a Triangle H station, definitely watch what you're being charged.

Same as Suoervalue. I think the highest discrepancy on a basket-worth of shopping was over a fiver, pre-Covid. I check all recepts like a hawk and I'm not from Cavan. It's my hard-earned money, damn it!

My local Centra, where I wouldn't ever do a lot of shopping anyway, because it's so expensive, used to be devils for overcharging. I got into the habit of watching like a hawk, and looking at my receipt before I left. Similar to another poster, above, something would be marked as being on offer, but the full price was always charged at the till.

That I didn't win the EuroMillions last night. ☹️ There hasn't been an Irish winner of the EuroMillions jackpot for 3 years and counting. Every other qualifying country has won it in that time, even Luxembourg with a population of less than 700,000.

Last night was a record jackpot of €250 million, won by Austria. And guess who held the previous record for the largest ever EuroMillions win? Austria. At €240 million in December 2023. Not bad for a country that has a population less than twice our own.
