Plus, how else would you be able to check if you've been overcharged?

Sadists who have their stag or hen on work days. Or people who have a 2 or 3 day do. Or have an expensive do abroad.

If you are really unlucky you will get these three things in one 🫣

Yesterday evening I was in the queue for a till in the local Supermarket. After the person infront had paid they asked for a receipt. With the amount of food they bought it looked like a family weekly shop. Instead of moving away from the till and checking the receipt, they stood there going through it line by line and delaying every one else. Some people just have no cop on.

The one bit of light that managed to get in the room hitting me square in the eyes less than two hours after I went to bed.

The general absence of tributes to Mick O'Dwyer from The Left.

Obvious exception is the President Michael D Higgins who did give one.

The general hysteria over a GAA player who passed away. It’s sad whenever someone dies but the tribute to Mick O’Dwyer is OTT

I reviewed one more item and Amazon didn't tell me a joke.

Annoying American slang like "dope" and "sick".

When people refer to immigration officials and/or airport security as customs. Do they seriously not know the difference

In the mean streets of North Inner City Dublin, dope has been used in a different context for generations.

I think Co-pilot has allocated me a mental health bot. I asked it a question about US tariffs, and it evolved into a chat about how this would impact housing in Ireland. It kept telling me to stay optimistic! and community activation has such a great record changing legislation here, can could I get involved in that?

My favourite annoying thing it said to me in that chat was that "while it didn't live through the 2008 banking crash, it read enough to know what a detrimental impact it had on Irish society"

Yes, it's totally the same as being made homeless, redundant and having your pension disappear in just over a week!

Do you mind if I ask what co-pilot is?. And the fact it 'assigned' is it software or something?

its a form of AI that came with my Office 365 update. there are a lot of different types out there. I found mine as the icon was at the end of the main search bar on my homepage. it has a colourful broken circular shape.

I mostly ask mine questions, tho It can write documents and usual office-based tasks.

Ah I understand - a long road to useful/reliable at all times but interesting

Indeed, some of its mis-takes on humanity can be hysterically funny, but it is a quick way to find simple info.

Social walker here in a hiking club. Nothing too strenuous, just meeting up and enjoying nature and a bit of a laugh.

I had a mild chest infection last week and am not firing on all cylinders so I was slow on a short Galtee ascent today. Leader was also slow and kept me company. At the top another member who is not leading told me I should choose my walks and that maybe I am not able for the Galtees.

I told him I was, just not at your pace. I've been walking with this fella about 3 years and he's always been a bit of a bollix but never this downright rude. He stormed off.

Later on when I caught up to him again I wondered loudly where the gold medals were for coming first. There's an A group for anyone who wants to go faster.

    Sad little man.

Hands up this a me thing, but having spent the weekend marinading in numerous pot flavours(including during sleep time) and cooking smells bc doors designed to stop cooking smells getting all over the house were as always left open and what is to me a horrible odour flowing into my bedroom and probably wardrobe at 6am.

Ta2 which is def not me, I opened the cupboards where the smell lodges and condenses until it flows out of the roof into the next floor, left the cross doors so fresh air could reach them and freshen them up. 20 mins later all of this was undone by a person who wouldn't close a door if their lives depended on it, regardless of weather.

    🙄🙄🙄x1000000000000000000000000000000.

Given an email address at work by one of the trainees, they had called the business to check if the person involved had a personal email? they don't, the email address I got was(details are made up) www.mike@johnsbakery.ie, mindful that I should be restrained bc of above, googled the business name and its not on any of their official info. So where this guy go this format is beyond me. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    People* setting gorse fires 🤬🤬🤬

*The world and its mother knows who it is, but we all have to pretend otherwise. That's a TA in itself.

That I started a reply to a TA that someone made about 2 weeks ago pages and pages back.

*whispers* More often than not it's farmers clearing land for grazing sheep. But saying so will get you hung, drawn and quartered in many quarters.

And anyone about to @ me with demands for proof and "Sometimes it's firebugs" whataboutery, don't bother, genuinely.

you must come from sheep farming stock . I’d love a few sheep , and goats , to eat weeds . But yeah , the fires were probably set to clear land . Australians have did it for years to clear old pastures
