Made me think of a poem ChatGPT wrote for me a while back. All jokes aside, cigarettes are awful things.

She digs through her purse with a sigh,
Not much there, but she’ll get by,
Two euros left for milk and bread,
But “Ah, the smokes!” run through her head.

The kids ask for shoes, maybe toys,
But her fags bring her more joys.
They nag and tug, “Mum, what’s for tea?”
She shrugs, “Same as yesterday, wait and see.”

She lights up, puffing stress away,
Thinking, “Kids need less these days.”
No need for a lavish spread,
When a cig can clear her head!

They say “mum’s always got the knack” —
At least she’s got her fags in the pack.

Got rammed by a kid on a scooter twice. It really hurt. Right into the shins. I shouted at him. Mother halfway down the road gassing loudly. She starts screaming at me he's autistic. Maybe he is or maybe he's just a little **** but maybe she should supervise him better.

Those sachets of sauces you get when out. Sometimes they don’t open properly-

    When this happens Solutions -

    1. Get another one
    2. Use a fork (Risks going everywhere)
    3. Scissors (Who has that with them out and about?)

For some reason the majority seem to opt for choice 2.

The challenge of it. Levels of tension that must be up there with bomb disposal. Arguably worse when wearing any white clothing.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

My TA is that I keep getting the days of the week wrong. I also get wrong the day of the week in combination with the day of the month (e.g Wednesday the 13th of March). Ah, to be brain dead and not know it…

Talking heads on the news giving out about Heathrow getting shut down for the day.

Yes it is annoying, but the people with a bit of get-up-and-go about them make alternative means of getting where they are going, or at least understand its an extraordinary event.

What do they want-just let planes fly into smoke?

Nice tidy car for €3,750 though Niman.

TA, reverse image search engines, you can't hide anything nowadays.

The Heathrow shutdown is a big deal if you had a flight booked for today, will you rebook and get a later flight, will you rent a hotel room for tonight, 1000,s of flights are canceled .They had to shut down the airport, radar and computer systems need power to operate .And 1000 s of planes had to change routes to fly to another airport or another country .

when they didnt put ketchup in with your fries. and you have to turn around and go through a song and dance.

i dont know if this is a trivial annoyance or more of a murderous rage inducing moment.

Watching your order disappear from the screen and you didnt get it. Now that actually is murderous rage. If you know you know.

Mine is seriously higher the last 48 hours… dunno if environmental/weather conditions influence or what but high winds seem to exacerbate it as well as atmospheric pressure, apparently..

Have had to put up with high-pitched whistling since childhood. Now vibrating/pulsing eardrums has started. 🤨

My trivial annoyance is the cough I've had for the last day or two. I woke up an hour ago, coughing, and can't get back to sleep for a Saturday lie-in. It's not too bad when I'm sitting up but as soon as I go horizontal, the coughing resumes.

My second, related annoyance is that yesterday I took the recommendation of the pharmacist about what cough medicine to get. I forgot that Brontostop is disgusting and ineffective. 😒

Vile stuff. Tea made with a little dried thyme plus a bit of honey to sweeten definitely tastes better. Helps the cough too. IME.
TA. Early Saturday morning lawn mowing started again. Love spring and better weather but 8am…grrr

What is it about Ford Ranger's that seems to attract ignorant imbeciles?

Queuing at my nearest petrol station on way home from work there, I was clearly next in line for the pump that correalated to the side the cap is on. Fella in one of those machines pulls in right behind the car already using it (the opposite end of mine) and plonks himself there, with no intention of following queue etiquette.

The layout of the yard means that when you drive through the gate, the two pumps are to the right but you drive around to queue if they are occupied as you'll block the gate otherwise. This pleb in his redneck mobile didn't give two hoots about that though and after he was blocking everyone else, proceeded to skip me when the first customer had moved away, who couldn't believe what he was seeing too.

Disgusted I just drove to the next petrol station (the other pump was still occupied and there was a queue anyway) as this lad is clearly a hardy bastard and I wouldn't want to look at him the wrong way.

    Taking the piss.

    Each bar 31.5g.

    Anyone know what they were?

    20250322_142302.jpg

Edit: 4 pack is 148g on Cadbury site.

Funny both sizes say 162cal per bar.

I get the multi pack being a bit smaller but that's brutal.. Price per weight shelf edge labels are close to impossible to do comparison in a supermarket and forget convenience shops. They called that exactly because we'll pay for ease of access

They must've increased the amount of palm oil. Smaller bars, same calories.

There's an irony at being upset about this gent being referred to as Paddy while then referring to him as John 'somebody'..
