Most of the stand ins have shown how poor of a job she was doing too on her occasions in the slot.

I'll never forgive CK for missing the historic opportunity to mark the closure of LW 252 which happened while she was on air hosting LD, Imagine if it were someone like Tracey Lee hosting LD that night, she'd have made it an anoraks dream

    Ray back again 🙂

    Maybe he got the gig??

Just as I post this he's playing The Life of Riley by The Lightning Seeds....forever etched in my brain as the goal of the month music from match of the day!

Cathal's and the listeners selections are particularly good this evening. Never imagined I'd be hearing Sabbath on Late Date tonight, but there you go!

I've heard him play Planet Caravan multiple times.

Storm raging outside, no electricity, but I have a radio, Ray playing great tunes, the stove is roaring, could be worse!

(Well, it is worse, the storm ripped all the aluminium fascia off my gable end at about 11, but SFA I can do about that right now!)

Aoife Scott always plays good stuff when she's on.

This Sam Fender song sounds like a young Springsteen covering Boys Of Summer, Don Henley will be rubbing his hands when he hears it.

    Ray played Floyd Cramer again!

Enjoyed the dad rock segment a while ago.

Cathal just played Birdland, quite apt, considering!

What a tune to hear on the radio too!

Funny I heard the same song played on a local station during the week. Must be something in the air (not Christmas!).

I'll be waiting by the Horslips. What a fantastic tune to hear onnthe radio!

I think it's because the new series by Chris O'Dowd was released that week, Small Town, Big Story.

The soundtrack used that song (and is very heavy on the Joe Dolan songs)

Louise Duffy played his cover of Blur's The Universal on March 4th, and mentioned it.

I remembered reading the posts here about it, having just watched the first season

It's not very good. There's a fine cast assembled but the writing and the narrative was so poor.

Ray knocking it out of the park tonight - kicking off with ‘Rip It Up’ by Orange Juice, ‘Satellite Of Love’ and now ‘Luka’. 🙂

Ah, didn't tune in because I heard Lillian in on Monday, assumed she was in for the week. Not that I mind her that much but I wouldn't go out of my way to tune in.

I was going to say Ray must have the permanent weekend gig as I heard a few radio spots promoting "Late Date with Ray Cuddihy" this week with a few snips of him saying how much he enjoyed it

.....only to tune in tonight to find out it's "Loah" as Ray is deputising for Creedon next week 🤣

Enjoyed her shows last summer, has she been on since then?

she's ticking the diversity box. first black R1 music show presenter ? (not being smart btw)

I heard a bit of her show the other night and found it pretty amateurish after she made a couple of schoolgirl errors.

Never heard of Loah before, but she’s playing some great music tonight. 🙂

Yeah, a decent stand in. I would prefer her over Aoife Scott.
