Well that was maybe interesting.

When I logged on there was only 34 minutes left to start/complete the recent event.

I played crazy fast golf but still didn’t manage to finish on time. I was trying to complete a hole in the 30-40 second range and then you have to allow for the game loading up each hole and the final round.

It did allow me to finish the comp though and registered my score but it was 4 minutes after the deadline. So I’m now wondering if once you’ve started the second round will it always allow you to finish it.

Anyone else having a consistent problem with ‘error CE-34878-0’ since their network outage ?

Every few holes I’m getting this and having to restart the game every time.

I did a ‘rebuild database’ and ‘system update’ from the safety mode screen but still getting it.

**** raging.

I’ve had to delete everything and restore to original settings to attempt a fix.

Now loading up the game to start from scratch. I won’t overly mind so long as the problem is fixed.

I didn’t notice anything different.

I realized the other societies I played didn't have Swing Timing enabled, so I could be as slow/fast as I felt like and it made no difference. Feeling the change now but managed a -7 thru 12 for round 1 of this event. It won't be a winning score, there's multiple eagle opportunities I can't get close to.

So lads I haven't made any changes to the settings with regards swing time etc, if I recall rightly I ran through all the settings and checked with players what way they wanted the settings and we went with that. If you want this turned off let me know

I agree to keep it on. I do hate it because I often forget it and end up with a big dirty slice that doesn’t travel far but it was originally turned on because we were scoring too low.

The other alternative is to turn it off but increase difficulty so the ‘swing’ section narrows. I think that would be my overall preference.

Thats me yeah, I've fallen from grace with the swing stick gods. Tis a fickle beast, penalty strokes especially killing me when water is abundant.

No I was a 3-click man up until a few rounds ago. I've changed my ways and it's killing my handicap but the game at least feels a more real. I get the odd streak of good tempo and accuracy.

New season started today new courses being added. Was going to increase the difficulty but that might punish and prove frustrating to some.

Vale of Fallen Kings is well worth a practice round, if anyone has the time ahead of the next event. Play it from the black tees and it's maybe the lengthiest course I can recall? Could be fun to have that in the mix for the real rounds.

Just a heads up the new game has a demo up for those with PS5 you can play 9 holes at TPC Scottsdale also create your player and use the new swing system.

On our own society I said I'd run through the official courses just wondering for Paddy's weekend do we want to set up a 3 rounder event and is there any Irish course you would like to play?

Hoping for redundancy in the next couple of weeks so I’ve no requests beacuse if I get it then I’ll be offline for 6-12 months.

Time to go travelling !
