I was wondering if you were called for any of the counties? Best of luck!

    Hi folks,

I applied for "Temporary Clerical Officer in the Civil and Public Service 2023 Nationwide" campaign in October 2023 for Cork and only interviewed for it last Friday. Notified today that I passed the Stage 2 interview. Have my OOM. Has anybody else applied and interviewed recently for Cork? If so, can you share any information for what potential department it could be? Thanks.

You should typically get a contract 2-3 weeks before starting. They've also very reluctant to provide specific details of role/section you'll be in until you've actually started.

Most people I know only found out the day they started.

Anyone could tell me how long they went between being assigned and being contacted by local HR of the dept they went to? My friend is waiting weeks, I asked my new starter CO colleagues in my own dept and they were all contacted in under a week. Unprofessional HR units…..

    Hi everyone,

Here’s my timeline: Last year, I did an online test and on the 10th of November, I got the result that I am between 40th and 50th on the Order of Merit for Kildare County Council (I’m not sharing the exact number just in case). After that, on the 16th, I chose the areas where I’d like to work, and then I heard nothing for a while.

On the 11th of this month, I had a Zoom interview, followed by an email saying that I passed that stage. I’ve now completed the Garda vetting process, and it’s currently being processed.

Does anyone have any idea, based on my OOM in Kildare Co Co, how long it might take until I start working? I’m eager to get started as soon as possible!

I applied directly to the county council I had my interview 29th may, results 17th June. Results between 30 and 40.... I know 12 people have been hired to date, so I'm hoping by march....ish I'll get an offer if they keep hiring at the same pace..... I didn't have to choose locations ....or get vetted yet tho

    Hey 👋

I am starting in revenue tomorrow through transfer. I'm just wondering if anyone recently started in revenue and if so what was the training like? I was told I will be working from home, what do they provide you with to work from home?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 672 ✭✭✭claregal1

What county? WFH is 4 days a week once training is completed depending on what section you are in. If PAYE it's 6 mths training in house AFAIK

Kildare Service to Support Compliance, Self-Assessment. I have already been told I will be doing the training at home and one day in the office. Just wondering what equipment do they provide to work from home?
