More than trivial, but my local GP has reached new levels of crappiness.

My dad needs to make an appointment and got onto them a number of times. They dont answer the phone 99% of the time and you are not allowed walk in.

When he eventually got through, they told him they are not accepting any new appointments, even weeks out. The best they can offer is for him to ring every single morning at 8am, and if he actually manages to get through, they'll put him on that days list for cancellation, and if anybody cancels, they'll ring him back and tell him to go up. They outright refuse to make a set appointment for him. He's now tried three days in a row with no call back from them.

While i think hospital staff are amazing and do a fantastic job when you are in hospital, the local GPs are seriously letting people down. He is stressed to bits trying to get to see a doctor and its so fukcing unfair to treat elderly people like this.

Is your dad on a medical card if he is then try going through the caredoc. It's not fair when people need to see a doctor and cant get an appointment. It's not as if people can schedule when they get sick
