    Ellie to win!!!

    So..... who's tuned in?

    Who's your money on?

I hope it's Ellie, had written Bobby off beforehand but not so sure now, and kind of think/fear that Layton will nick it.... he's far and away the best dancer of the 3, but I would really really love to see Ellie lift the glitterball.

Brilliant result - well done Ellie

Well I'm only delighted with that for a result!

    Fair dues to her.

Anyone know if it was ever confirmed if they were/are an item?? I really hope so!!

Absolutely delighted she won, well deserved. Been a joy to watch all her & Vito's performances each week!!!!

My mam was Team Bobby and is now sulking claiming it was all a fix, due to the hiccup earlier with Ellie's lift😄, but have to keep reminding her the public voted & that's what the public wanted.

Yeah I thought Bobby might pinch it this evening but delighted with the result - the right person won in my view

Judging by how he was mauling her after her second dance, I hope so!!!

Delighted with that result! Well deserved for Ellie and Vito. She has been fantastic and lovely throughout, and I love her and Vito's partnership. Vito has been a magnificent addition to the show.

Layton was excellent, I really enjoyed his performances tonight. Bobby was great - he really improved and his dances tonight were his best performances of the season. He definitely deserved his spot in the final.

Edited to add that I'm probably just as excited to hear Olly will be doing Eurovision as I am about the final.

    Delighted for Ellie & Vito!

Some super dancing all round tonight. Layton's showdance was my favourite, to my surprise.

Justice was done, despite the judges doing everything in their power to convince the viewers to vote for Bobby. 🙄

And his was my least favourite (also to my surprise).

Not enough actual dancing in it for my liking - it was spectacular, but I much preferred watching the other two.

I can't say I was very invested in the winner this year, other than hoping it was Ellie or Bobby, for reasons previously given.

On reflection, I think it was unfair on Nikita, as he is a terrific dancer and teacher, but the public just didn't get behind Layton due to his being a professional dancer.

I was delighted to see Amy during the pro dance. She looked amazing and so happy to be there. Neil was beaming at her. It was lovely.

Congrats to Ellie and Vito, and see y'all next year.

    Keeeeep dancin'!

Was Nigel back for the final night?

Yes he had a small part in the group dance and you could see him up on the balcony. Amanda didn’t return.

Must have been quite the strop she threw when she left

Watched the Christmas special earlier, very enjoyable.

Would love to see some of those who participated, do the main show, some time.

I had planned a lovely evening with Strictly, Pottery, Roise & Frank and loads of other stuff - and the feckin' internet has sat down on me, can't manage to stream anything 😩

It was a really enjoyable Christmas special. Deserving winner and who I would love to see on the main show! Is that possible - can you do the full show if you've appeared on a Christmas show? Such a waste of potentially great contestants if not!

Finally got the telly fired up and running..... my god, that second jive was amazing! Fast and furious, fair play to her keeping up with it!

I'd really love to see her dancing with more than a couple of weeks training, I'd say she'd be borderline unbeatable!

I read that Helen Skelton and Matt Goss among others did the Christmas show before going on to do the main show.

Some of this year's participants would be great for the main show too.

Abi is said to be seeking legal advice because of the dancer's alleged 'behaviour' towards her and has reportedly requested the footage of their rehearsals

Amanda Abbington, Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore could unite to take complaints over pro Giovanni Pernice to the BBC after they held an “emotional” summit ......................

"Mild PTSD" ffs, gimme a break

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 92,364 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Giovanni Pernice has reportedly walked away from Strictly after being under fire for months from former contestants who claim his behaviour towards them was inappropriate.

The dancer has been with the show for eight years and has had the backing of the BBC throughout the controversy who were even apparently keen to sign him for the 20th year anniversary special.

I saw something on that yesterday and came in to check here, but there was nothing. I though if its not in the strictly thread I'm not believing it. But here it is 😔

Some of these "celebs" really are pathetic and need to toughen up. Plenty got on ok with him but because he's a tough taskmaster, some of them had a good old white he about him. Amanda Abbington and her PTSD is, quite frankly, pathetic.
