This is either the biggest issue facing the whole country, or it's just RTE doing what they do best - flinging a shedload of our money down the toilet

It's the latter obviously, but who TF signed off on this idea, and more importantly, how much did it cost? - It just hasn't occurred to them that they're not actually the BBC. The BBC might do something like this in Manchester with a population of 2.8m (Greater Manchester Area)

Just did 10 mins and I'm gone

No disrespect to Limerick, but I'm sick and tired of hearing about Limerick.

Next week there will be European and local elections. I have no clue who I'm voting for and all I hear on the television and news is Limerick, Limerick, Limerick

Just give the chain to McManus and get over it

That vegan candidate has some gut. Is Guinness vegan?

why is the Limerick Mayor election debate on Tv? What does it have to do with the rest of Ireland?

It’s madness and such a waste of money

A lot of Ireland feel the same way about Dublin. It certainly feels like a different country.

Don't confuse me with Arnold Schwarzenegger says the fat Dutch vegan. No danger!

I didn't think so, but it seems Guinness has been vegan for over 8 years...

A few of the second batch of candidates were better than the first batch and made some good points. The first lot were a write off. That's the best I can say about them. There wasn't a single standout candidate. Some, have no business being on the ballot paper.

RTE really keeping up with what is going on in Ireland when they have Dutch guy form "party for animal welfare" on who looks well I leave that you when you see it.

Is Frankie Daly a real candiate? Or is it some sort of Count Binface type thing?

Ffs, can we have a hint as to what he supposedly did. Did he put a Twix up some punters hole at a music festival or something more serious?

Roisin Garvey done well tbf, well able to call out the bullshit others spout.

Listening to and looking at Róisín Garvey of the Green Party on Upfront with Katie Hannon tonight, she reminds me of Fragile Rock for some reason. Maybe it's because she's a Muppet.

What were the topics on the show last night?

Productive people shouldn't have to be exposed to people out of their minds walking the streets.

Ciara Kelly looking more and more like the middle aged alcoholic trophy wife every day.

No doubt she's getting some lad from the personal trainer while the husband horses it into his secretary. American Beauty was written about women like her.

Any more Botox and her forehead might get up and leave her face.

Mod - warned. Appearance based criticism is against the charter

So we had C, C, C, Ciara K, K,Kelly on, who strangely enough never has a stutter when on TV - never misses a beat. The same Ciara that apparently cut all ties with NKM, yet here she is

Once Denzil Dexter started I went over to the tonight show

Edit: I see 'Banty' McEneany is on to talk about the €130m his family were paid so far, for the asylum scam GAA

Maybe but she still spoke more sense than the rest of the panel

Bertie glad he's watching from the sidelines.

Are they expecting bertie and Ivan to speak on behalf of the govt on these points?

Wonder is Bertie a cash or card man these days.

Can't understand this panel. Audience members raising fair issues were just wasting their time.

SF really fecked themselves up with their backing of the government line on the recent referendums and then after the results MLM saying if they got in they could run them again, talk about misreading the room.

The first lady didn't want the election to be bought by using people's own money. The next three made demands that the government spend more of other people's money to fix their favourite issue.

A microcosm of why buying elections works.

I laughed when he referred to having the ability to pay for things in the future. He surely had his epiphany 😁
