Cork looked good the last two games but I have never seen a Tipp team give up like that. The second half was like a bad challenge game.

The biggest touring point though is the form of the Downey brothers at the heart of the defence.

im not from Cork… unless you are blind and/or have been living on Mars since 2021 when Cork won 3 allirelands in space of couple weeks.. (2020 u20, 2021 u20, 2021 u17) and won u20 last year.. it is clear the talent to succeed at senior level is there…

Word going around is that the pitch in PuC is destroyed post-Springsteen. Water seeped through whatever floorboards they put down.

Bit much to suggest they are now going to dominate before they even win an All Ireland though. It doesn't necessarily translate like that. Tipp won 2 u20/u21s back to back 5 and 6 years ago and they are way off the standard required to win an All Ireland. Clare have 1 all ireland from a pool of players than won 4 u21 all irelands.

I'm sure you're right though that Cork bridging the 20 year gap is coming soon.

I am entitled to have my views just like you here. I praised Cork for winning the last two hurling games but I'm sure you didn't want to see that with your hawkeyes and one dimensional views. I was delighted Cork won Sunday and was full of praise for their efforts, I said that on my last few posts. Yes I said negative comments about Cork gaa in the past few weeks but it was fully warranted when Cork teams get beaten and not fighting and dying with their boots on. That's all you ask 100% effort, Cork lost to Limerick in 2023 but they put in a savage effort and could have won, that's all you ask. I think you will agree that some of Cork football teams v Kerry were beaten before the whistle ever was blown. Surely you arent going to say that all Cork teams of footballers as of late are putting in good effort when they were destroyed by Kerry at all grades bar senior. The seniors did ok but still left Kerry win when they had a good chance. I don't expect you to reply to me so jog along now with your absurd Cork fan views. I can't understand how some people like you become moderators.

"I don't expect you to reply to me so jog along now with your absurd Cork fan views. I can't understand how some people like you become moderators."

    'Jog along' ..... 😁

It's not my fault if my 'absurd Cork fan view' is accurate for you. It is what it is.

'Becoming a Moderator' - just lucky I guess, the pay and conditions are worth it but not really sure why you felt the need to mention it though, not exctly Cork related, but whatever.

Yeah sure whatever keeps you in the role and keeps you happy. However my views are my views whether you agree or disagree that's entirely up to you. I don't agree with alot you say but I don't make a big deal out of it either. I just simply ignore.

Very impressed with cork. Pat Ryan is playing a system that suits the players they have. That’s real management. The players look delighted with the style. Smiling players everywhere during the game. It’s very offensive shootout hurling. Easy on the eye. Ye’re one winning final away from catching fire. What a difference a couple of weeks make.

The thing with Cork hurling is that when we get some momentum behind us we are very hard to stop. Hopefully the results go our way this weekend.

If we do go through then there's a great chance of getting to the semi finals at the very least. Getting a win over Limerick was so important for the team from a physiological point of view as well imo.

Some really poor reffing is costing us in this first half. He has given Tipp numerous soft frees. He is worth about 4 points to Tipp in this half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 609 ✭✭✭Corcaigh84

Ref pathetic here, yellows for nothing offences. Just like last time, Tipps handling is far better than ours. We're dropping ball and they're catching everything. Scrappy so far.

    Blatant goal not given

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,351 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Ah lads, how did the umpires miss that fumble by the Tipp keeper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,741 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Now a point missed by umpires. between them and the poor ref, its very hard.

But we have had a load of poor wides too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,741 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Another very soft free to keep Tipp 2 ahead at a vital time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,351 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Almost 3 times as many wides killed us in the end

That match should be replayed. We got a blatant goal that wasn't given!!

16 wides is awful. Around 10 more than Tip.

Ref really gave them frees alot easier throughout.

Scored a goal but it wasn't seen.

    Left it behind us.

Surely the late free when man was pulled down should have been a penalty. More blatant than Kyle Hayes on Kingston.

Looks like there's more Tip fans there than last Sunday.

Remember as well we had one shot where the Cork player seemed adamant it was a point. Maybe it was wide but that is in addition to the goal that wasn't given. On top of that a ref giving them frees for hardly anything at vital times.

Yes the wides were very poor but really this game should be replayed due to that goal not given. If it was the other way around, I would say the same thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 132 ✭✭FantasyFool

Obviously the mess up by d umpires was brutal but Cork left that after them. Too many wides and selfish shots- none worse than Finn who should have passed that goal chance. Buckley hadnt his best night. After seeing the last 2 matches i think Hugh O Connor should be a serious consideration as a long term half forward for the senior team. A Gearoud Hegarty type that we dont have.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,442 ✭✭✭big_drive

People will blame ref and umpires but Cork had plenty opportunities to win that. The wides and poor decision making killed them.
