Wass there definitive footage of Waterford’s first attack in first minute when shot was waved wide but commentator felt it was a 65?

Media darling? One of the best forwards in the game.

looked a 65 , only question was it over the line before the keeper saved it

Jesus Tipp are a shambles and Cork getting there scoring difference up

We should have beaten this tipp side, they are very poor.

Really it depends on the rule book, what probably should have happened was the linesman ensure be places the sliotar on or behind the line and chances are he still puts it over.

Time to move into the Limerick game.

Really gutted for the lads, with every Clare goal the game could have easily slipped away from us but they lads stuck to the plan and kept chipping away, so disappointing they didn't get something out of the game.

Liam Cahill more likely to go be let go then Davy now .

We threw it away against Tipp and it's gonna put us out of the championship.

We didn't throw it away. 2 awful ref decisions took it away from us...Square ball for goal, and a free in for nothing. That's why we are where we are

Doubt it about Cahill but would not be surprised

Interesting situation about Davy, do we offer him year 3. 1B is a place to 'experiment'

I think he's worth another year barring a collapse next week, he has put a bit of grit into this group that was badly missing.

Cork had a square today and if that was a square ball the goal against us v Tipp was 100% a square ball

Jesus that 65 feels a worse now

If it finished a draw, we'd be through on h2h over Cork

Looked like a 65 was the correct call to me. It's possible it went out off Tadhg initially even. Very unusual for a ref to not give a team a chance to level it though and instead blow up on the puck out.

Hard luck lads. Great performance in a tough place to go. Do us all a favour and beat Limerick next Sunday. Need to tighten up at the back though.

well the commentary today suggested there must have been a team meeting to get his head out of his hole and his 20 puckout strategies , hard to see a better replacement if he can keep his form

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 southsider11

That really was wishful thinking. FFS how bad were Tipp. Bye bye Cahill...

irony is, had he stayed with us ,very possible could have achieved some more, be it a munster or an AI, but the call of home beckoned, and his owne have turned on him for it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,449 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Why didn't tdb just let it go wide

lot more then that going on exposed for goals and some terrible shooting .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 279 ✭✭dk1982

He's right though. He let's that over his head and it's game over with a draw. But obviously a split second decision so no fault really. And the shooting for the most part was outstanding. Think we've come a long way in this championship in that regard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 114 ✭✭siyo

Commentary yep, idle talk. Maybe there was a meeting, maybe it was a heated debate, maybe it wasn't. We'll never know but facts are he's somehow managed to pull 3 performances out of us in a round robin and hopefully a fourth next week. That's more than Derek, Pauric and Cahill managed. So he's due one more crack at it.

Whatever happens next week there's going to be a very good side from both Munster and Leinster out of the All Ireland championship while Laois and Offaly are put into it for nothing more than a token gesture of a day out. Can't make sense of it.

While next week is going to be tough, it's still in our own hands to quality.

A draw and we go through, a win and we are in a Munster final, it's a simple outcome, no waiting to see what may or may not happen in other games.

Before the campaign started we would have taken the hand off someone if offered that scenario.

Need to take the hurt from the Tipp draw and defeat today and literally just put everything into next week as if it was an All Ireland final and whatever happens, happens.

trouble is the Cark lads are now on a major high their ‘carkness’ will have returned and they will see themselves as favourites to end their longest ever barren spell…..that must have been Tipperary largest beating in decades plus it was at the ‘home of hurling’ you would wonder how the eff we couldn’t put them away…even if we did would it have guaranteed us a top three position…?

Gutted not to get something from that game today.. At least we've restored a bit of pride in the county with our performances this year in Munster.. One massive effort next Sunday and who knows what can happen.. it's still in our own hands.. maybe it's Waterford who will get the bit of luck next weekend. UP THE DEISE
