Skoda website shows 0% for Enyaq Coupe and 3.9% on the standard Enyaq. Might be Dealer specific.

Sorry, why are they offering 0%, had a brief look at market yesterday and there is still poor looking supply for EV? Waiting lists down perhaps but not exactly flush with Enyaq, ID4, no Tesla Y? Limited second hand options for any of them.

admittedly I wasn't doing a deep dive yesterday but got the sense not much has changed, prices still high.

    😎

One possible reason is to get in some good used stock into the main dealers. Good used cars are still quite scarce and with Brexit they have no easy way to get stock other than PCP cars coming back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Enyaq prices just gone up again by an average of €3K-€4K across the range. So much for 0%PCP finance offers. Likely that ID.4 and Q4 e-Tron pricing will go the same direction.

Yup. There is simply too much money washing about the place - why do you think Christine Lagarde is doing what she's doing too.

Nothing will change until people stop buying them. Tesla prices dropping makes no difference to people like myself who want to stay within VW Group and you generally get better trade-in offers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

True, if you got a good trade in and a 0% finance offer it wouldn’t end up any more expensive than someone who bought one a few months ago and signed up with a 5.9% finance deal.

We would have liked to stay within the Group also, having driven Octavias for 18 years. But the Model Y price drop last October and the lead time to get an Enyaq meant we changed. The second Tesla price drop in January cemented the decision.

Does anyone happen to know how to switch a 2021 Enyaq from MPH to KPH? I've been digging in the menus with no joy. It might be a dealer job or something that just can't be done so I'd love to hear if anyone knows anything about it.

Large Central Touchscreen; Menu => “Settings” => scroll down to “Units” => “Distance” => Toggle between Mi and Km as you wish.

Further options within the “Units” submenu for “Speed” (mph or kph) “Consumption” (kWh/100km or Mi/kWh etc.)

    UK import ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 419 ✭✭ElBarco

It is indeed a UK import. Thanks so much. I was frantically searching the vehicle status screens.

That gets me out of quite a bit of hot water at home!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

No bother, it’s quite cumbersome but most VW group cars use similar submenus for these settings.

Is there much of a saving on bringing one from the UK ? Some nearly new ones in N.I appear have very strong asking prices compared to new ones down here when you factor in the SEAI grant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 419 ✭✭ElBarco

I couldn't say to be honest. It is second hand and we went through a dealer who dealt with the import. The price was along the lines of the standard second had prices in the rest of the market.

    Range Calculator (skoda-auto.com)

Is this accurate? Its stating 248km for 'Highway' driving in winter set to 20c and Sport. Seems very low? Any real world experience of winter driving say Dublin to Cork and back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Does seem a bit low, EV Database for an IV80 suggests 315Km for Highway - Cold Weather (110km/h @ -10 deg). Either way it should easily make Dublin to Cork one way but you’ll definitely be stopping to charge if it’s a return journey. Might be worth posting your question in the ID.4 section as they’ll be very similar in terms of range but the Enyaq is marginally more efficient.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 586 ✭✭✭sumo12

Real world experience of Enyaq 80 range - daily commute is 90% motorway with heavy right foot - maximum range at 100% in winter is 370km, summer 430km.

We did a trip to Kerry in February with outside temperature near zero and heater / lights / wipers on and 3 people on board with luggage. Also into a stiff enough south westerly wind and it ATE the battery, we were lucky to get to Ballysimon to charge. While 248km seems a bit doomsday, it isn't unrealistic for that type of scenario

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 586 ✭✭✭sumo12

We've done Wicklow Town to Cork & Kinsale a few times - going the M8 it won't make it without charging. Only once did we do it without a charge coming back from Kinsale, but that was going the "coast" road - Waterford, New Ross etc and in summer as well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 14,760 ✭✭✭✭josip

Curious why you'd choose the M8 instead of the N11/25 to go to Kinsale?

They're the same time-wise, but at 50 km shorter, the N25 would mean you won't need to charge and will be faster.

Interesting as that’s ‘just’ 325km, was sure you’d get that range - it’s basically the same distance I have in mind as I live in Kerry and travel to Dublin often

The same time wise and can be quicker if the M50 plays ball. Coast road there can be plenty of hold ups, traffic in Dungarvan, Castlemartyr, Midleton and then the odd tractor / Yaris driver thrown in to slow you down. Sometimes it's about head space as much as minimising the requirement for charging!

Enyaq 85 announced. Uses the new AP550 motor from the ID.7 along with an improved BMS. Claimed WLTP range has increased ~10% across all models despite the increase in power output.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,885 ✭✭✭Casati

Saw that - performance on par now with Tesla Model Y RWD which is a big improvement. If the increase of range is actually 10% thats great news too but has the battery size increased by 10% or it is just the new motor is a lot more efficient?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 455 ✭✭PaulRyan97

Battery remains the same, motor is substantially more efficient + some tweaks to the BMS.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

It will also have battery preconditioning to aid faster DC charging but no doubt it’ll see another price increase to justify all these improvements. The new PHEV Kodiaq could well eat in to future Enyaq sales depending on pricing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,524 ✭✭✭DaveyDave

If that motor can fit in the ID.3/Born that would be a nice range boost for a small car without having to spend extra on a large battery and adding weight at the cost of handling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,598 ✭✭✭finbarrk

The Enyaq is just too expensive I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 991 ✭✭✭cubatahavana

just booked an enyaq 80 sportline with panoramic roof for 2024. It will not be one of the new 24 models as it was one of the last ones that they have in stock ready for delivery in January. 58k all in including the grant compared to 67k plus delivery etc if ordering a proper new 2024 model. Test drove it and loved the way it drives. I suppose it’s a no brainer availing of a discount of 10k at 0% APR. What do you guys think?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,171 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Seems a good deal considering the 85 isn’t going to be much different to the 80.

What dealer was it if you don’t mind me asking ? PM if you don’t want to publish here.

I heard they were discounting all 80's by 5k - which brought it in line with grant so dropped them to 56.5. The dealer I spoke to thought that this pricing was also in effect for the new 85 orders but nothing about that on the website so Id guess its just to clear current stocks.
