Anyone watching strictly this year? Week one was a good standard.

Seems like a decent standard in both Strictly and Bake Off this year!

I noticed on Saturday that Amy Dowden is in the Strictly opening credits, which is a nice touch.

Yeah, first week of bake off was decent enough, no obvious standouts like the year we had Jurgen and Guiseppe but no total disasters either. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Yeah bake off looks strong this year so far, no disasters at all and every one of them had a picture perfect looking chocolate fudge raspberry cake.

I loved all the rounds. I find it better when they go back to basics with classic bakes done well.

Better than when the technical is a Tibetian yak butter cheesecake that has everyone scratching their heads!

Agree 100%, the international rounds looking for mad stuff that no one had ever heard of were a bit of a disappointment.

And Matt Lucas's "hilarious" foreign accents didn't help!

I’m watching bake off biscuit week with two different types of biscuit. Winning.

I got chocolate M&S dipped viennese fingers, cinnamon sugar palmiers, shortbread and Ladurée macarons for biscuit week. I love Bake Off. 😁

I watched it last night. I didn't see the first series, but the hype around it made me want to watch.

Not a lot happened in the first episode, but I'll keep watching. I get bored easily watching TV, but this kept me entertained for the full hour! So that's a win for me.

I've been watching the Post Office drama on ITV/Virgin Media. It's actually galling. 🫤

Watching it now. I remember hearing about this scandal on the news and being shocked with how all those people were treated.

I recorded Gladiators and have it on now. I hope it's as good as teenage me remembers.

Saw him a couple of years ago and he was brilliant, going to see him again in May and already looking forward to it.

Me too, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the referee sounded almost like the original one.

Mark Clattenburg, ex English premier league referee. Enjoyed it myself except for seeing him!

Pure raging that I forgot about this. Put a reminder in my phone for next week - we loved Gladiators as kids & I reckon my kids would love it too.
