So I got an email today to say vetting process completed and a disclosure made to Garda Civilian Human Resources. They say the disclosure just means vetting is complete. Not sure what happens next..

That’s brilliant. From what I understand, the next step is they contact your current employer for a reference. After that, your file with PAS is complete and they send it to AGS. They contact you then with your start details. Best of luck. Hope I’m not too far away..

No, it was almost exactly 4 weeks since I sent the papers in to hearing back yesterday. Extremely fast!

Yes, reference from my current employer emailed back this morning so hopefully not too long now. Not easy to work in a place, when they know you are leaving 😂😅

Looking back at my emails, I got this email myself 5 weeks ago. Think that’s the first strand of vetting. Still has to go through 2 more strands.

So maybe not as quickly as I first thought then and I've probably a little while longer to wait. But hopefully once the references are in it won't take too long. Once they know I'm leaving is the part I'm dreading the most tbh so the quicker the better!

Yes, I had 5 weeks to wait from that original email to PAS contacting my current employer. I’m in that stage now, where references have been sent, and my employer knows I’m going. Although, I have to say, my employer is absolutely fine about it.

Hi, does anyone know if you are asked to submit audiology report and fill in all the forms does it mean that there is a position available after the clearance will come back all good? I emailed PAS and got an email back that they don't know when the position will become available. So is this a standard practise and you may not get a start date for a while?

Really not sure, but the fact they have asked you to pay for an audiology report, surely they feel there could be a job there. Only guessing though.

Hi. I'm not sure where to enquire with these questions so can anyone tell me if the Call Centre has now relocated from Tramore to Waterford Garda Station as was indicated in the introduction notes?

Also, would pre-booked holidays be honoured. Thanks in advance 🙂
