Starting to transition to snow here slowly in D14!

Thank you to all for the fantastic photos by the way, some people have received a decent snowfall so far.

save the trouble and jazz it up

Yep, can confirm definitely a lot more snow mix in the picture, just a bit more of a nudge in winds and we could be the sweet spot again Blizzard 😋

My little corner of Meath (Dunboyne) still has nothing other than a slushy mess still.

Thanks @Rebelbrowser for creating the thread, it was a good day for many and some super photos. I was nervous when Kermit didn't lump on but it was a good event for many nevertheless.

And it has given us hope for future winters. Ireland can still make snow!

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Snowing here still near kells, Meath. Nice covering here now 2 to 3 cm. I can't believe Gonzo has still no snow and only up the road. I wonder did it snow in Navan area ?

You can see the flakes very noticeably in the wind, but if it's too windy it falls as rain again... very knife edge

    I see flakes now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Robwindstorm

Sorry Rock Lesnar, just read your post. You are probably not far from my area. I was surprised by how quickly it transitioned from rain to snow as well. Looking out at the blowing snow reminds me of 2018.

Still pi$$ing rain here by the coast in Rush, NCD…. And been like this pretty much all day….

would be nice to wake up to a nice surprise in the morning, but I’ve enough cop on to know it’s very unlikely for me so close to the sea…

These threads are great though….. at least someone is getting it….

Easily the most God awfully miserable day I have experienced in a long time. Penetrating wet cold wind and what can only be described as pure snot falling from the sky. I'd have much preferred just plain, old fashioned rain over this spirit crushing gunk.

That's incredible, fresh snow as well by the looks of it

Can anyone advise me please? Not good at understanding the meteorological lingo but I need to drive from Kerry to Cork University Hospital to visit my husband who's receiving treatment for his cancer,I put off today but I really need to see him tomorrow. Will the roads be that bad do ye think going up,driving up.

I agree I'm also in firhouse ,my home place ❤️, I don't care if snow doesn't stick, the mountains where enough for me there just so beautiful 😍

Nothing but incessant rain here in Lucan. A complete misery of a day. If it doesn't snow I hope it at least dries up soon.

Great to see the photos from around the country though. Some really nice snowfalls to be enjoyed!

Snow is still steady but pretty light up here in NI now. Not expecting much more accumulation now and current snow will compact, so expecting depth to drop from here on.

Nice to see the Atlantic deliver some snow for once.
