yea - the Hindi version is also a dubbed version (the original language that the actors are talking in is a language called Telegu, form the south of India)

I thought that but Netflix only seem to have the Hindi version, which is odd.

Yeah for whatever reason Netflix only have the Hindi rights to the film - I remember that being specified when they released it. It’s standard practice in India for there to be multiple language versions of the same film (sometimes to the extent of filming every scene in two languages) but it is strange they don’t have the original language version in this case. Hindi version is what I saw in the cinema too, although think the Telegu version was also available for at least some screenings.

They never acquired the rights to the original Telugu version. Not sure whether that was Netflix trying to be cheap and assuming the majority of their subscribers would want the dubbed version or whether it never was on offer.

Must summon the energy to watch RRR these days, but 3 hours of maximalist madness doesn't always seem enticing enough to try.

Just finished Kaleidoscope,, enjoyable enough, a few too many flash back/forward scenes, but overall a good story, well packaged 8/10

I had to watch it in two sittings. I can see the appeal of watching it in a cinema, or with a group of people. It is ridiculous fun. Watching it alone on a Monday afternoon, it was a bit of a slog at times.

I thought it was very poor. Its a fascinating story, I even read a book about him a few years back(No one would listen) but I found this documentary was incredibly boring and shallow considering the length. I'd say you could easily just watch the first and last episodes and not be missing much. The recreations were awful too

@Gremlinertia Maybe it's best going in blind. I enjoyed it as I found the story to be fascinating whereas @youcancallmeal knew the story and read a book about it, but didn't like it at all.

The Equalizer 2 (2018) Ex-CIA agent-turned-vigilante Robert McCall uses his deadly skills once again to avenge the death of a close friend and former colleague.

Recently watched it myself. I enjoyed it and thought the concept was very good. I'd love to know how other people got to view it.

My last 3 episodes where, The Day After the Hoist, 6 Months After the Hoist, and then the Day of the Hoist. In my opinon it worked out perfect that way. After wathching the Day after the Hoist it was very clear how it was going to end.

    Thread for it here:

For those not finished it yet, although the thread title includes spoiler warnings because the format was supposed to encourage open discussion leading up to the finale, it didn't quite work out that way. So there are spoiler tags at all times so far in the thread.

Not sure if right thread but this is a good game free with Netflix sub:

    Android:

    IOS:

    Supports bluetooth controllers

    Cowabunga!

EDIT: Tried using a dual shock controller over bluetooth with a good spec android box. The lag on the controls is terrible. If anyone gets a good controller connection to android please post details here.

    The Pale Blue eye

Watched this last night and It was a lot better than I thought it'd be. The acting from Christian Bale and harry melling really elevates this to another level. Theres a scene near the end between the two of them that kind of goes beyond acting. All in all a good shout.

Have to agree. Good film with some great twists. Reminded me of The Prestige a bit. Not in the same league as The Prestige but still well worth a watch.

Any time I see Harry Melling I always think of the meal ticket scene in Ballad Of Buster Scruggs with him and Liam Neeson. If you've seen it you wouldn't forget it. It stays with you.

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 2 (2022) Legendary warrior Po teams up with an elite English knight on a global quest to rescue magical weapons, restore his reputation -- and save the world!.

The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House season 1 (2023) (Japanese) Hirokazu Kore-eda serves as showrunner, director, and writer for this nine-episode series, based on the manga by Aiko Koyama. Set in the Geiko district of Kyoto, the protagonist Kiyo becomes a Makanai (person who cooks meals) at a house where Maiko (apprentice Geikos) live together. The story depicts the everyday life of Kiyo Maiko Sumire, her childhood friend who came with her from Aomori to Kyoto, amid a vibrant world of Geiko and Maiko courtesans and delicious food. Alongside Kore-eda, Genki Kawamura (Confessions, Villain, Your Name, MIRAI) will be producing. Up-and-coming directors such as Megumi Tsuno (Ten Years Japan), Hiroshi Okuyama (Jesus), and Takuma Sato (Any Crybabies Around?) are directing individual episodes

Too Close for Christmas (2020) Hayley's plan to spend Christmas with her sister's new in-laws hits a snag when the man who triggered her breakup with her ex unexpectedly shows up. .... great timing to release now

Elaborate re-enactments with a Madoff look-alike become tiresome - how many times do you want to see the back of his head as he paces around his office?

The real problem is that the series never answers the key question - how did he get away with operating a massive ($64,800 Million!) Ponzi for almost 40 years under the noses of the regulators, despite countless red flags? He surrendered himself when the 2008 market crash blew up his scheme.

Audible's podcast series is far better.

Lots of investors were badly burned but a few very powerful people got special deals with Madoff and took a lot more money out than they put in. Sonja Kohn, who channelled immense amounts of client funds to Madoff, is given a big disclaimer in the middle of Episode 3 about a UK court decision, which tells me Netflix didn't have an appetite for lawsuits on this series. They should have mentioned the Irish court case where one of her offshore entities paid $687 million to settle claims by Madoff investors.

Woman of the dead an Austrian netflix thriller show is a decent watch. I think they should buy cctv cameras in the town is all I'm saying

Signs a polish thriller series. Two parts. Had the potential to be good but ended up being disappointing.

Deadwind a Finnish tv show. 3 series about a Police duo that are very different to each other (male and female ofc). Season 1 was poor but for some reason I stuck with it and really enjoyed season 2 and 3 which didn't spoon feed the viewer like season 1. Season 1 was also the longest with 12 episodes compared to 8 and 6 iirc for season 2 and 3.

I watched the Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker documentary. 90ish mins long. The media and news people in it would make you sick with their I only wanted the best for Kai Stick
