Season 4, with the exception of the flashback to 188x dips a lot, but you need to watch all the episodes, The flashback is excellent & really sets up 1883

Brilliant show. A bit far fetched at times maybe. The scenery is glorious. Looking forward to the coming seasons.

Binged watched all the seasons and enjoyed it. Beth is some piece of work and some of the stuff she comes out with are classic.

Love the show but thought elements of the finale were a bit far fetched.

I've forgotten most of them now in fairness but one thing was that when Jamie was dumping the body at the border, how did he not notice Beth was already there?

And how did she know that Jamie would choose that exact time and location?

And that whole scene in the prison was just silly....there was no way yer man would have just stood there listening to her spouting on.

Anyway, looking forward to the new series and also catching up on the spin-off shows

I haven’t started Yellowstone or 1883 yet so no spoilers please.

1883 started airing in the US as Yellowstone Season 4 was showing the final episodes. I know that a few episodes of that season of Yellowstone featured 1883 characters in flashbacks.

Is there any reason to wait for season 4 to be added before watching 1883 ?

Yellowstone 1923 cast revealed. Harrison Ford & Helen Mirren were already confirmed. Ford will play the brother of Tim McGraw's character, which is interesting because I thought they'd focus on the direct line.

In my humble opinion 1883 is some of the best tv you will ever see

Time is contagious, everybody is getting old.

Just finished the last episode of 1883, you can really understand why Yellowstone means so much to the Dutton family now

Time is contagious, everybody is getting old.

Anyone know if RTE (or another regular station on the Sky platform) might show 1883 at some stage?

Trailer felt a bit .. movie level?

    Story felt Yellowstone.

Slow start to the opening two episodes of season 5 although it did lay some of the ground work for the war that is coming between the Duttons and the corporation and Native Americans.

There was no real reason for them to have Monica lose the baby.

There seems to be a couple of good additions to the cast.

We also now have Beth Yellowstone vs. Beth Corporation vs. Beth Native American to look forward too.

The less seen of Beth the better.Worst character in the show.

Totally agree. This show writes alot of bad female characters to be honest. Like the new female character joining the "villains" just seems like a carbon copy of beth, with the same sort of dialogue.

Kayce and his family are the only good people on the show. Surprised John didnt visit them in second episode- God he really only cares about the land!

Watched the first 3 episodes of season 5 .

They have outdone themselves with Beth so far.

She is just a caricature now,it's beyond a joke .Nearly ever scene she is in is muck and episode 3 ending is so **** bad.In real life she wouldn't have one person in her corner after all the stunts she has pulled.

I was thinking the same thing with Beth, she's had enough screen time and the whole "tough outer shell with a soft core" is tiresome at this stage.

I've just gotten through the entire four and a half seasons to date in the past few weeks. An acelerated process because I've been sick recently. But God I can't stand Beth. I was hoping Jamie would run her over. She's not even that good looking that it might make her presence on screen more tolerable. Hopefully a wolf gets her or something.

I really enjoyed seasons 1 to 3. Then season 4 episode one i thought was brilliant and was settling in for a great season 4. To my surprise straight after the 1st episode of season 4 it turned to utter scutter and got progressively worse from there on. Never seen such a turn around for any show. Is it worth my while starting into season 5?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,950 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Well I'll keep watching because I always finish shows but it's not good so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,634 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

I really really want someone to **** Beth over.

Be great if episode 3 ending was the beginning of her demise.

Ideally I'd like Jamie to be the phone who crucifies her .

Hes not a bad character at all imo but they have him portrayed as a lapdog when in reality he wouldn't be anything like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,835 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

Jamie could be a good character but the writers of this show only seem to want to make him suffer.

Beth is just one of the many badly written women in the show along with the grumpy environmentalist, trashy lawyer and depressed native american.

so four episodes in and nothing has really happened apart from beth having a fight with a vegan on the grass

    The internet isn’t for everyone
