so many people here didn’t like it but kept watching to the end which seems strange. I thought it was turn the brain off okay kind of thing and I thought the ending was quite good considering they didn’t have the star of the show to finish it with

Not sure about the series creator getting so involved towards the end but he’s feeding his ego I think

    The internet isn’t for everyone

I guess like a lot of shows that start well and become average you always hope the show will regain its former greatness. Also when you watch 5 seasons of a show it is interesting to see where the characters end up. Costner got out at the right time it seems.

The first few series were good. Once I get a few series into something and I'm enjoying it then I get invested in the story and I want to see how it ends, even if goes rapidly downhill after that. Game of Thrones is the prime example that springs to mind for me as well as this.

Final two episodes should have been blended together.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

It was run of the mill and predictable throughout, scenery was the star of the show.

Thank f**k that's over. Sheridan putting himself as a major character with zero impact on the story for the last 2 episodes while having a model girlfriend has eclipsed Sutter having his wife central to the Sons for a finish as major ego writing.

The 2nd half of season 5 is starting tonight on RTE1 9:30 I think !

It's too much effort for RTE to put the season episode info on the EPG.

I re watched season 5.1 to get me back up to speed and found it really hard to watch, completely clichéd right wing propaganda. I started playing a game of "Angelus or yellowstone" with the amount of earthy good-ol' folk montages.
That said for 5.2 I did enjoy how he wrapped it up. I liked to see Kayce getting free and also the natives getting their land back.

Beth is one of the most unlikable characters in a show I've ever seen.

Also Costner got done dirty, whatever the scheduling conflicts were, after being the main attraction of the show in 5 and a half seasons to give him an offscreen death is scummy. It can't be Taylor Sheridan's fault though, we clearly see from the show he writes and directs that he's a man of the people that everyone loves him.
Annette Bening is the latest addition to Paramount+’s highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff, which now has a working title: The Dutton Ranch.

The five-time Oscar nominee joins franchise vets Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser and Finn Little, who are set to reprise their respective roles as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler and Carter.

Bening will play Beulah Jackson, “the powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”
