A nice even 800 kWh this month, about 11% over my estimated. Month started off great but the last 10 days (apart from today...)have been miserable. As you can see the production was well above the previous 4 months by the middle of the month.....then the clouds rolled in and never went away.

I have also inserted a moving 30 day average to smooth out the bumps and troughs. What this shows from around the end of March this year I have been pushing out between 25-27 kWh/day

    Monthly Summary

6.1 kWp in Cork, facing South

Used 345 kWh (43%) of total generated so saved €103.5 on my Elec bill this month

Average daily production was 25.8 kWh for the month

6.1kWp south facing, South of Cork City

4.46kWp SW facing North Co. Dublin

    501kWh generated for July 2022*

    Worst Day 30/07 - 8kWh

    Best Day 10/07 - 27.3kWh

*Data was lost during 1-2 days when I changed out the data logger incorrectly. My estimate is that it should be approx 520kWh.

    7kwp S facing 20kwh battery

    Best day 10th - 47 kwh

    Worst day 30th - 14.8 kwh

    Car - 140 kwh

Not as bad as I expected given the bad weather, only 57kwh less than last year's.

Not so good compared with last year -- But 74% self consumption and 71% self sufficiency with the bulk of that purchased at a low rate. Still happy.

    July Stats

    7.44kWp (4.03 south/3.41 west), 20kWh battery, Zappi & Eddi – Donegal

    Generation – 679.2kWh

    Export – 40.2kWh

    Import – 44.2kWh

    Best day – 22nd, 36.2kWh

    Worst day - 19th, 6.9kWh

Days with less than 1kWh purchased - 25.

A crappy month all round. Getting less than 7kWh in a day in July is mental. Had to do some overnight charging a few times to avoid day rate purchase.

About 12kWh less than July 2021 despite 20% more panels and a total of 17% below my expected generation.

That also wraps up another full calendar year for me.

    2020/2021 - 4,822.2kWh

    2021/2022 - 4,869.4kWh

6.84kWp south facing, Roscommon. 4.8kw battery.

    765kWh generated (728 forecast)

(95.8kWh to Eddi - mostly Eddi heating water all month)

    (91. 5% of total consumption self produced)

Total consumption 712kWh. 224kWh discharged from battery. 177kWh exported (should hit 1MWh exported for the year in the next 2 days)

68kWh imported (no day/night meter, but bulk imported during night, early morning)

40.0kWh generated best day (17th June)

14.0kWh generated worst day (19th June)

Do you mind me asking what your average daily consumption is? We have similar sized system but I have smaller battery. I used less day rate,I'm guessing it's car charging? I could only see me needing bigger battery in winter, 5 is plenty the last 3 months based on my usage...

    Generation and consumption figures @yankinlk

Thanks. So yeah I'm importing 26 for the month, and average daily maybe 10 less than you. Not ruling out a diy battery but not sure I need it tbh.

    3.15 kW 9 panel

    2.4 kW Battery

113.2 kWh Generated for July (seems very low compared to everyone else's figures)

Worth pointing out that my daily consumption is way lower than all of yours too, I usually use only 8 kWh/day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭con747

Have you checked to make sure all panels are working? What direction are the panels facing? If you have two strings maybe one has a fault. I have a 4.1kw system in the midlands and generated 4 times your generation.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

5.7 kWp (SW facing) , west coast.

    690 kWh produced.

27 kWh purchased from the grid.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,054 ✭✭✭championc

You have some for of serious fault with your system. Consumption has absolutely no effect on generation

Add it into the Solar PV Hints, Tips & Troubleshooting thread

Nice one, great to break the 1MWh mark in the month (due to two inverters?)

A disappointing 809kwh for July, too many cloudy days

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,054 ✭✭✭championc

Certainly, when I ran pvgis, it had that May was the highest month of the year, followed by June, then July. So the pvgis projection appears to reflect what most of us are seeing.

So despite warmer weather, it appears that it's a climatic thing to be quite cloudy

3.3kw sw facing, no battery. installed on 15th. so 1/2 the month, 166kw generated. reasonably happy with that. probably lost some without inverter fan early. import 110kw, export 110kw. so basically no charges for usage. those figures not fully including about 30kw generated by 1kw NE facing which pre existed this new install. need to look at moving ct clamps to sort.

    South Roscommon, 8.16Kwp, facing 210° at 35°

    Total generation 902kWh

    Consumed 594kWh

    Energy from Grid 45kWh

    Energy to Grid 345kWh

    To the Eddi 141.5kWh

    To the Zappi 172kWh

    To the Battery 145.8kWh

820kWh projected for July so at least up but could have been better considering the cloud cover for the month. Only broke the 40kWh barrier 4 times when we could really be over the 50kWh, c'est la vie.

Just received our bi-monthly bill also and used 12 day units and 80 night units in that time. When the new batteries arrive we should be able to drop those night units.

Great result, you're not a million miles from me so good to see what an unshaded setup can do (and a low tile maximising Summer sun)

1083.8 kWh for July. Slightly down on June.

9.36 kWp, E-W, low pitch roof.

Solis reporting 3kWh imported (this was a scheduled Eddi boost at EV-rate), although Solis is quite inaccurate and Smart Meter will a little show more. (Have a reasonable amount of automation that keeps the grid usage to a minimum without inconveniencing)

Usage down in the summer (heater off)

No EV yet. Awaiting BG FIT details...

System was sized with fringe months in mind, so the March Used vs. Consumed is the more interesting month.

Best day 50.8 kWh (June was able to hit almost 60kWh)

    Worst day 16.2kWh
