Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    6.5kWp E/W in Greystones

    June production = 800kWh

May was 776kWh, I thought June would be higher than it was as although there's a day less, the days are longer and you'd expect June to be sunnier.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,181 ✭✭✭championc

May SHOULD be the highest month each year, due to the lower air temperatures. Hot air temps reduce efficiency. This years' May was crap.

Even though it didnt feel it I did 10% better than predicted at 842 kWh (6.1 kWp South Facing)

Tracking the past 3 years still a good bit behind 2022 but on par with last year, July will be dissapointing as well me feels 😥

First time posting here as we only setup the app in mid June though the panels have been in since Feb.

7.56kW system, equal EW split based in North Mayo

754kWh generated (best day was 4th July with 39.1)

395kWh consumed (201 from panels, 194 from grid)

Not a bad July - pretty much matched PVGIS. (6.5Kwp split exactly E/W in South Dublin City)

That said, I can count the blue skies all day on one hand this year. Production has been "ok", but nearly every single time I wake up to a cloudless sky, it deteriorates during the afternoon etc. Today no exception. Sigh.

Last month 6.2kw South facing system, generated 892kwh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 175 ✭✭Exiled Rebel

7.8kWp south facing. All electric house.

The final few days of the month saved it from being a shocker. 74 fewer kWh generated in the month versus June which had 1 day less, consumption up by 80kWh as well. The dip has started 🥲

On the plus side €68 worth of credit has been added to my Flogas account bringing it up to a total of €200 worth of credit to the end of July. There's a bit more left to harvest before consumption and production cancel each other out in October.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 240 ✭✭curioustony

The month was down on comparison to all previous years July.

2021 shows what it can be. The rest seem to be typical. Only one good day really, the end was ok.

An increase in usage and the drop in generation, and I had to pay for July 😭

    That's 96% EV rate

Now I can forget July, which was not as bad as my perception of it: Dark, wet and cloudy.

Looking at last July we are actually up on the Solis and up on the predicted even though it felt like a really dull month.

Looking at the Energia Portal the export tracks very similar to H.A.

Anyone know when Energia pay the credit on accounts?

    I found this somewhere

So far nout, gas DD is due on 20th August, maybe they pay it then?

Last winter when we were getting the government "cost of living" expenses of €450, it meant that I built up a fairly large credit on my electricity account with Energia. They never paid me a cheque, but rather eventually I used the credit over time. I wish there was a way to move that into my Gas bill, but alas no.

I reckon the only way they'll pay you is if you leave.

I have West facing roof top, 3.9kw system.

    June 2024 had 318kw generated.

Does this look poor / defective panel possible?

    2024:

June 19th was the best days production. 15kw

Please note that best hour is 1.8kw. Should higher be expected?

Please let me what you think about this 3.9kw west facing system.

Mailed them today this is what they came back with:

Thanks for clarifying, it’s just a case of you contacting our Customer Care team after any Electric bills where there is a credit  to request a refund of, or you can have it transferred to another account, such as your Gas. It’s up to yourself really or you can just leave it sitting and it would be used by the next upcoming bill.

So I've mailed the CC team see what they come back with next week.

It's functioning as it should. I too have a 7.9kWp setup albeit with no battery. Based in Waterford.

My daily average over those 4 days is 20kWh versus your daily average of 24kWh.

It's a game changer, delighted to have installed it.

What app is that with your stats

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 175 ✭✭Exiled Rebel

It's myenergi. In my case the zappi car charger has a CT clamp reading the flow of power from the main incoming/outgoing cable and a second separate CT is connected to Myenergi Harvi in the distribution board reading what's coming from the shed where the inverter is.

Harvi and zappi are connected to the house WiFi and that's how Myenergi collates the info to present the data on their app.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,181 ✭✭✭championc

Harvi uses Radio 868mhz - not WiFi (so people don't get misled)

Sunny end to summer delivers European solar records – pv magazine International (pv-magazine.com)

I'm currently at 99.4% of PVGIS forecast for the month, and it's only the 26th, so I reckon i'll be in the 110-15% range of PVGIS once the month ends.

Hi, may be someone got an answer, I’ve have the solar panels installed since late July, peak production in a sunny day is 5.42-5.47 KWH

Suddenly the max I’m getting is 4.7-4.8 for 2 days now, any idea if something went wrong or just today Saturday 31/08 not as sunny??

In the last 4 years, my record low for August was 6.1kWh. This year that record was beaten 5 times. The new record is 4.3.

The last few days just got it to slip past 2021

92% EV rate. My increased usage means I have to use credit this month too.
