Yes it is wrong for people to be in the mindset that they should get a free house. It is important to work for what you want.

I work long hours in the hope that I will be able to purchase a property. I am on an average enough salary but my salary x3.5 is nowhere near enough to get a property. So have to save for approximately 10-15 years to top up mortgage with cash.

I am not moaning about it but affordable housing needs to be available for those not on high salaries.

Michael D. was absolutely right with the comments he made about housing. It is a disaster.
