Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I invested with this firm.

The principal here is a guy called Craig Hands and the guy is not a trustworthy person. After numerous promises of payment following the fraudulent issuing of a share cert for my forestry investment, it came to nothing.

The addresses used by this director are long out of date and the owners of the addresses currently, have numerous callers and letters from people looking for him.

The company address for WFS in the UK is a brass plate accountancy office, so there is no real point of contact there either.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr Hands, please contact me or if he has arranged to meet you, please let me know. Anyone else owed money, feel free to contact and I will reply.

I am owed a fortune same as urself all calls ignored all emails unanswered. I know where his daughters live etc so I will go after them for my money back if he keeps ignoring me

  • Registered Users Posts: 20 james0987

Hey he is ignoring me as well, this guy should not escape easily with our hard-earned money! I am planning to take legal action. So send me PM if you want to join

  • Registered Users Posts: 20 james0987

Everyone, please send me PM if you want to take legal action. I will ask for proof that you are not from WFS so be prepared for that, after verification we can create an email group.

After a number of broken promises, things are not looking good so I would be happy to discuss taking further action maybe we should start by setting up a Facebook group so individuals can be verified?

Just one point as Craig Hands the director not only controls the company but has also personally spoken to myself and others on here from what I can gather. If we can show that he has lied, or his company doesn't own enough land/trees I think he will be personally accountable.

It would be interesting if we can collate all emails directly from him as he is the director, it will be hard for him to wiggle out of that one if there is anything untoward going on.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else here. Getting an answer or anything from them is seeming impossible. I'm trying to understand what options are available but don't want these guys to get away with this and start it again somewhere else.

We need to find a solicitor that will take the case does anyone know a solicitor or have a solicitor that would take the case when we all join together?

    Good afternoon,

I read this thread a couple of days ago and register to communicate with you guys. I am on the same boat.

Interested to file a case too.

Hi I tried to talk to couple of lawyers. One thing common is they are all expensive and cost is damn high, but here what I gather.

We have to go to high court as the amount is very high. But Irish laws allow us to represent our case. The case would be easy win, so even if we gather and just present our case, we should win. I think, winning the case is the easy part but debt recovery looks difficult.

The following three legal options thereafter presenting the case in the court.

I see only one way out that we prove that he has lied to us and he is a fraud.

The best option would be to issue proceedings against the director of the company for fraudulent and reckless trading, but there is a very high burden of proof to establish this and we have to prove that there was a conscious decision to not repay investments and he has committed fraud.

    1. Publication of the Judgement – publication of the debtor’s name and amount owed in the Stubbs Gazette which could affect the debtor’s credit rating
    2. Execution by way of Sheriff – Sheriff can seize goods and sell them for the purpose of raising money to satisfy the debt or enter into an instalment arrangement with the debtor. There is a slight delay at the moment due to Covid 19.
    3. Judgement Mortgage – Judgement Mortgage can be registered against any property or land if the debtor owes any. Once a Judgement Mortgage is registered the debtor cannot sell the land or property until the debt is discharged.

Please PM me if you are interested and we should make a group discussion further. I also emailed to CRO to make sure he does not strike off his company but the status is normal. The problem is CRO can not do anything, such loose laws, he thinks he is in UK so he can get away with it.

    So, we should react soon...

You will not get your money, they will put you in touch with Craig Hands who is the owner of this company. He will keep giving you false promises or will offer you a new plan/loan agreement.

I am sorry but that is the story of everyone in this thread. There are 3 of us who are going to take this company to court. If you want to join as then please send me personal message and I will share details with you.

Everyone - more we are in the court, the better and stronger our case. Please ping me if you want to join us.

You might want to remove your email address and use private message instead

Everyone- the first step and very important step is to email CRO and register your objection to any strike off of this company.

Please note that if Craig will strike off this company you have no way to go after him. Any questions please send me message

    You can also send them H16 form (1 page form) via post. Link from CRO website as follows;

    Please use this email address

    cro.info@enterprise.gov.ie

You can CC to the following email as well but it bounces back!

I am hoping to get my return back on my large investment in WFS. It is fundamentally a solid business and has lodged its revenue returns from 2016 in UK. I think covid has had a poor effect on most investments and I hope we can still get a resolution in time on this one even if its delayed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20 james0987

Is that so Mr Paul58? Then why there is no return filed for 2 years? If you UK a customer since 2016 then why you have joined this forum since sept 2021?

Why everyone in this forum has the same story? You have only 4 posts and all in favour of WFS!!! try somewhere else....!

If the only positive thing that can be said is this company filed some returns from 6 years ago, it really says it all don't you think!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8 Paul58

Hi Damo, I take on board we are all under pressure here, no doubt. It is mostly based in UK. They supply a large retailer and have a company called JingleTree.co.uk to deliver christmas trees direct in UK. It is successful and profitable. I know all companies have a decrease in investment due covid so time is needed for recovery. This is the real economic situation. I am optimistic we will get our returns, maybe delayed but at least I think we will get it. The company filed returns since 2016 in UK, i.e. 4 years of revenue returns.

we all had an agreement with Irish company, WFS forestry ireland, and clearly the return is not filed for the last 2 years. Anyone can see this.

    https://core.cro.ie/e-commerce/company/615112

Where you are based? When you got your last return?

UK return also filed in loss and Irish return filed before is also showing loss. People in this forum have done at least that much homework!

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 damo92

Paul58 I'm going to take on board what you have said, and you should be able to answer these simple questions as all I can see is losses, and accounts not being filed on time!

    1. What is the name of the retailer you are referring to?
    2. How do you know jingletree.co.uk is profitable?
    3. What returns have they produced for -
      1. 2016
      2. 2017
      3. 2018
      4. 2019

I have invested money in 2016. I had said the I only wanted to invest for 3 years. I had an email acceptance that your money with profit will be returned after 3 years. When I contacted them they said we did not commit to that. So send the copy of email to Craig hands. To cut it short several agreements have been made to return my money in installments and broken. So far he has returned part of money in installment. Since last one year he is only making promises but is not returning any money. So I am in the same boat. There must be some dept of govt dealing in this issue. He has collected money through Irish bank. He has an account and the bank should have some responsibility. The company address is on the Web page but i went there there is actually no office in existence. I could be just a post box. I could not see any office I could be mistaken.

We should form a group and then address the issue

I have registered an objection to the winding up of this company,

Craig Hands has form for this type of behaviour, He is a low life and would tell you anything to buy time,

Anyone got a further current address for him ? Oak Cottage looks the most likely but no one at home at time of visit ?

Can anyone give me what they believe to be a current address for Craig or that of Julie Hands or the daughter,

Hello I am new to this site has anyone had a PI look into WFS or Mr Hands and Caveys who seem to do work for him.

Then you could see if WFS is Real or Not

Has WFs been put up for stike off in Ireland with the CRO ? As H16 only lasts for 90 days ? After request for strike off.

Hi James. Im not an employee of WFs but I have 3 policies with them one matured a year ago, got nothing except excuses. Another one is on going with 1,500 returns yearly, didnt get it and another big one to retire on due in 2023. So far no repayment at all.

I am in the same boat as many on here, WFS have repeatedly failed on their commitments to me. I would be happy to join in with any court action if someone wants to email me
