On the flip side, Mercedes-Benz will be constructors champions if they come away from Saudi with a 44 point or higher lead.

Let's hope Bottas is not on form so or Hamilton has a sh-it weekend and finishes lower the 6th preferably even 7th. That would be great.

IT's interesting that F1 feel they need to keep some interest in the championship. There's a real feeling that Hamilton will saunter away into the distance and maintain a 10 second gap to Max, complain about the tyres and win the 2 races and the championship at a canter.

It's been a great season so i don't think we can complain even if the finale isn't very good.

Work is STILL going on at the track right now...48 hours until cars are on track.

I think with the layout and high speeds, we should see some chaos. That is my hope.

On the same forum, someone found some engineering stuff around laying race tracks that said it would need 60 days to full cure.

It's a sportswashing PR event for Saudi. They need to show how tolerant they are without giving their own people notions that they will actually tolerate any behaviour that isn't sanctioned.

It is very much one rule for F1 and another rule for the Saudi people.

Seems like they are cleaning the track like they did in Turkey. Not sure how that will effect the curing process or grip levels.

This track is legit not ready for a race, not even close. Money talks.

It's crazy they are racing on this track this weekend. I just hope all the drivers and everyone else involved comes out unscathed. This track is in no way ready for a high speed race.

Who knows do maybe Hamiltons luck will run out here or Max will get revenge. As long as all the drivers are are still OK after this weekend and there pit crew and everyone else is too that is all that matters.

With all the space available to him, why did Tilke design it like this if it was going to be dangerous?

On a slippy new track would teams expect tyre wear to be higher or lower ?

Safety car around the track, car seems skittish from my amateur eyes and it doesn't even seem to be going very fast.

Getting really excited for this. Watching the Drivers Press conference and interesting that the drivers seems to agree that will not be much overtaking.

Also listening to Lewis, he is becoming unbearable with the way he drones on about him and how much the team struggles and all his other David Brent leadership waffle.

Looks like it will be won in qualifying barring a botched stop or shunt in the race.

Main straight looks as long as Brazil, might just be the pace of the safety car though.
