On the flip side, Mercedes-Benz will be constructors champions if they come away from Saudi with a 44 point or higher lead.

Let's hope Bottas is not on form so or Hamilton has a sh-it weekend and finishes lower the 6th preferably even 7th. That would be great.

IT's interesting that F1 feel they need to keep some interest in the championship. There's a real feeling that Hamilton will saunter away into the distance and maintain a 10 second gap to Max, complain about the tyres and win the 2 races and the championship at a canter.

It's been a great season so i don't think we can complain even if the finale isn't very good.

Work is STILL going on at the track right now...48 hours until cars are on track.

I think with the layout and high speeds, we should see some chaos. That is my hope.

On the same forum, someone found some engineering stuff around laying race tracks that said it would need 60 days to full cure.

Saudi Prince says Hamilton can wear what he likes and respects his opinions and his beliefs, says its important to stand up for what you believe in and people should do it. He also says they have their own beliefs and culture.

Anyone else think we could end up with a farce a la Indy 05 or Spa this year? I get everyone saying bring on the chaos but I wonder if the new track layout offering no grip and those walls will see multiple DNFs, safety cars etc and the whole thing coming down to a lottery? Eventful races are all great but this looks like it could be bordering on something more serious.

It won’t be hot enough for bikinis, so anything else will be fine.

It's a sportswashing PR event for Saudi. They need to show how tolerant they are without giving their own people notions that they will actually tolerate any behaviour that isn't sanctioned.

It is very much one rule for F1 and another rule for the Saudi people.
