We can get your name etc from the QR code - you may want to edit that out too!

Received my Digital Cert on Friday evening by email. All details were correct. Happy days. Received another Cert this morning by post from the Revenue Commissioners. On checking this cert my date of birth says that I was born in 1900 and the Unique certificate number is different to my original one. I have scanned this mornings cert and it is reading as valid. Will I just discard it ?

I had my cert emailed to me about 12 hours after my second vaccination

It's no doubt been asked 120 times on this thread but will a screenshot of the code work without downloading the app? Had the app before and it was very glitchy so got rid

As long as the resolution is clear enough for it to be scanned and checked, yes.

Submitted a change well over a week ago for my dad's cert, he hasn't received anything yet.

Hi. This has probably been asked before but, do you need the vaccine Cert to fly to and from England?

I am due to fly and I am concerned that my paper won't arrive in time. Is a HSE vaccine card (fully vaccinated) plus ID enough to be allowed through?

Wondered if anyone had been through a similar experience, common travel area etc.

    Thanks in advance.

No. Zero requirement or restriction whatsoever when travelling from within CTA to the UK.

However, you will need proofs of vaccination (the HSE card will be fine) when you come back to Ireland.

Thank you so much :) I feel a bit more relieved now.

I did a couple of week ago. Added my forename as it's on my passport and driving license but nowhere else! Got revised cert back about 5 or 6 days later.

Still haven't received any cert. Anyone else in the same situation? Was vaccinated months ago, contacted the DCC helpline a month ago and a few times since.

Same. When I put my details in, it just says its on the system and been dealth with. please wait 5 working days. I've been fully vaccinated over a month now. Any ideas what to do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,236 ✭✭✭lucernarian

Running out of ideas. The media? Organising a protest? I don't know 😅

Hoping someone can help who has possibly had similar scenario or knows the solution!

I was vaccinated by a GP (Walk in, not registered on portal). Gave all details etc..

Fully vaccinated, waited 3 weeks,I never got the covid cert so I rang the Gov helpine. They had no record of me what so ever. Fine.. Gave them all my details , PPS, where I was vaccinated, the vaccine card information of doses etc. Said it would 5 days and should be sorted.

2 weeks later still noting. Rang HSE who confirmed no information on their database either. They said its up to the GP to provide this & to create an account.

Rang GP, they said they done this 3 times on the HSE portal. Chase the HSE.

So I've got the HSE saying ring the GP. GP says ring the HSE... Gov covid helpine said they cant do anything until HSE have my information

So I'm lost to how im actually going to get my covid cert!! Noting online to help, no email address, nada! I surely cant be the only one who has had this issue!!

    PLEASE HELP 😫

Call your TD? Might be the easiest way to get it sorted.

Go back to your GP and sit on their doorstep til sorted. Is your GP using your correct full name, address and PPSN? Maybe more than one or several patients with the same name as yours in the practice.

Hi, I am in the same boat as the original poster, double jabbed as i live in the UK but i am getting married back home next month. I would love to fly abroad to the sun for a week after the wedding from Ireland but i have no idea if i am allowed without PCR tests etc as I am an EU citizen with a UK vaccine . Would this do or has anyone any similar experiences #confused

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭Sam W

You need to check the requirement for the country that you are looking to enter. Each country has their own requirement as to whether the UK certificate is accepted or not. Some countries do not accept UK certs but they accept antigen test certs (which are cheap and fast); some are stricter and you would have to get a PCR test.

https://reopen.europa.eu contains the entry requirement and restrictions for all EU countries.

How did you get sorted ? We have a similar problem and have rang the helpline many times

I've the same issue, had this message for the last three weeks.

Others who got vaccinated at the same venue on the same day as me had their cert emailed within 24 hours when they rang the helpline.

Is it worth ringing again? The thought of being on hold for hours is off putting. Do they actually give a reason for the delay if you ring?

It's also been 3 weeks since I got that message.

We were actually abroad and used the vaccination card to board the Ferry get through custom. The cert is only needed for countries like france that requires it for going into restaurant, parks, large shopping centre etc... In which they don't check your identity so you could actually use anyones as long as you're the same age / sex !
