    I haven't recieved any notifications.
I'm on the PUP payment since the beginning, my job is still there when my sector opens up.
Suppose nothingto worry about until I recievea notification.

Thanks for the updates and information you have provided over the past year or so.Very helpful.

I'd imagine SW just contacting recepients randomly, I'm in a sector that has just returned but business levels shocking, there's a team of 10 and only 5 back, we believe it will be July at earliest. Sales/Customer support but mainly dealt with industries that have been crucified.

I was on and off an on PUP. I recall when initially applying you listed your employers Name, mine is a limited company Joe Bloggs Ltd etc, I don't recall if I mentioned sector, so curious if they can determine what sectors claimants are working in.

Didnt get any contact from welfare myself. Have had the social welfare inspectors visit the job though.

That's a curious development, do you mind me asking what sector your in?

I threw a tweet in the late debate show last night, it was read out, just to see if any politicians on the panel knew what's going on, all were stumped.

Just seems a very strange new move, it's mentioned on main welfare site under customer notices. I'm not overly concerned, my employer assures me my job still OK, just not sure when he can take me and others back

    That seems a bit unusual.
Did the DSP inspector just call unannounced or by appointment?
Can I ask the reason for the visit?

Personal services industry. Seemed like it was an on the spot visit. They asked when we opened, how many of us where there, asked my name and then left forms and a self addressed envelope for my employer. Said they had 10 days to return the forms. I only glanced at the forms but from what I saw it had spaces for names/dates of employment.

Ill just add as a business everything is above board, every single hour and penny is put through the books.

Hi, is this a new PUP application? You mention last day paid was 23rd April, are you paid monthly?

Yes, it is a brand new application.

I probably should have cleared it up earlier, we are paid monthly and got paid last month as expected, however the company have not paid this month due to financial issues and are likely to go in to liquidation.

Ah, OK I understand, for the purposes of PUP, Generally you put down last day worked, I appreciate there's more than a month you've not been paid by employer but that's probably for another day, liquidation etc.

My concern however is the gap in terms of payroll, PRSI paid etc, if you look at the T&C"s re PUP eligibility, they look at the 4 weeks earnings prior to applying. Obviously I can't know what's on revenue's records so hopefully your application will be OK.

Finally, you mention Liquidation, I just want to point out you need to have lost your job because of the Pandemic, you won't be asked about liquidation etc, just employers details. At the very start, applications were processed with few questions, as PUP winding down, I can't say if more thouragh checks are done.

I'm sure your application will be OK, it's just a pity there's such a gap from when last paid to application for reasons outlined. Get it submitted ASAP and good luck.

EDIT, Just another thought, I'm hoping you were not on any wage subsidy scheme? EWSS, as this will further complicate application

We are not on any government subsidy currently but were last year.

The company is technically insolvent but have not declared insolvency at this stage, as we are not being paid and unlikely to do so anytime soon contracts have been terminated.

That could be an issue about revenue records as even though I have worked the since that point obviously we have not received a payment, I might give them a call in the morning to clarify.

    Thanks for the help

Yes, it's not a straight forward situation and sorry about that, my main concern is that Gap in earnings, tax paid etc. SW check with revenue on all PUP applications to verify employment /income, for two reasons, Eligibility and amount of PUP payment to award claimant. The possible Liquidation is not the issue really, its your most recent earnings etc that might be and I'd explain the gap etc, they'll be able to verify earnings prior to last pay date and might be flexible.

I didn't want to complicate it more than it needs to be but I've seen so many issues arise over the past 14 months for others on this and other Threads, I felt it important to point them out. I hope it works out and a call might be wise before submitting application.

If you were NOT on a wage subsidy scheme recently, it makes process a little less complicated because that too was very complex in the past.

Good luck, hope it works out, not an easy time, I know

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has had a call from a SW Officer so far this week RE: Supports for those on PUP to get back to work.

I had a missed call from a mobile number this morning but no voicemail was left, has anyone had a call from them via a mobile number? I found it strange that no voicemail was left!

    Thanks.

Hi, OK firstly they are not calling from
A mobile, it's a dublin number. I had the call on Monday and to be fair, it was all quite harmless. In essence they are reaching out to offer supports, advice etc for those who need it, primarily for those who have perhaps lost their jobs completely or are unlikely to return to their jobs.

The caller has very little info regarding circumstances, they are not probing too much and won't ask for sensitive info, DOB, PPS number etc.

Once I explained I was expecting to return, there was no issue, I gave as best I could a rough date etc. It was all quite pleasant to be honest. I was quite surprised the contacts were being made given some sectors not even open but it is was it is. My advise is to take the call. Hope this helps anyone expecting a call.

Thanks Dempo that has put my mind at ease as I'm very happy to take their call and find out how I can avail of the supports from eCollege.
What I was concerned about is that I would have missed their call and maybe they would have assumed I was avoiding them, but as I say I found it odd a call would be coming from a mobile number and that they would not leave a voicemail!
    Thanks again.

    No payment in my account.

    No payment in my account.

On the SW site it mentions those Due payment on Monday the 7th will get paid today, a bit confusing as previous bank Holidays PUP was paid on the Friday before a Bank Holiday. I've never understood if PUP is paid on a Monday, hitting accounts on Tuesday or is it actually paid on Tuesday?

Not sure to be honest. Last long weekend I got mine on the Friday. I remember reading on this thread that some people get their payments on Monday night so I'd assume they must be processed Monday which probably won't happen with the bank holiday so maybe it'll be next Wed before it hits the account but again I'm speculating so prob not much help to ya sorry.

Yes, there was some back and forth on actual payment day but it does seem odd that on some Fridays before a Bank Holiday, payments made and seemingly not on others, I did notice that the last Friday payment, it came in later in the day so watch out :)

I don't think I've ever got it early before bank holiday, certainly not today either,

On a brighter note I got confirmation of my return to work next Tuesday week, finally after 14mths on PUP.

Delighted for you, gosh you'll find it strange but I'm sure you'll be happy. Yes, my pup was paid on tge Friday on the past 2 B/H weekends but not concerned it wasn't today. Good luck next week :)
