I figured this had spent enough time in the contemplation corner.

I also figured, seeing as it's for my young fella, he might as well come out and start learning a bit of spannering

One last photo for the day. I put together a map from 9 A3 sized sheets, with my home town in the centre. It covers a radius of about 25 miles, or about 1750 sq miles.

Wall space is at a premium, so it went on the roof

Hmmmm thinking of the thread from last night you could get the highlighter out and mark it up for the roads you've cycled.

I was thinking that too, but I laminated all the sheets.

I thought about that too, but I reckon I'd just make a mess. Might just leave it well enough alone

Stripped my Bianchi Infinito CV as I'm swapping over a DA 9100 from another bike. Degreased/regreased the headset bearings. Ordered a new FD band on clamp as the 9100 one i'm installing is braze on. I'll tackle the BB tomorrow but it looks to be on good condition.

This is all you need and you keep your 9100 ...

Got rid of the bog standard crank set and put 105 on my defy. Stuck a set of hunt aero 33s carbons and now the bike is complete. It's a stunning bike to cycle. About 3 1/2 k worth of bike but you have to treat yourself sometimes. It was a 40th birthday present I bought for myself. She went mental but it was worth having no hanky panky for a month. At least I got to ride the bike so I was riding something. Bike doesn't moan about having a headache either.

The wheels are hunts. Aero handlebars were €60 here https://www.wiggle.co.uk/prime-doyenne-aero-handlebar

Are they safe to use on carbon? Dunno if I'd risk a frame for the cost of an FD.

And is the seat tube on the bike in question round or the right size to take one?

That's lovely the tyres look out of place with the aero bits. 32mm  I'd say it's comfy as though on the road.

Very comfy. I wouldn't go anyless than 32. I have the stock wheels kept for gravel with 35s.

They are perfectly fine to use on carbon, just use a torque wrench, loads of carbon bikes have band on front mechs.

There isn't a braze on bracket on the Infinito. it's a 34.9mm seat tube so will take a standard braze on bracket

I made the jump today after months of looking on the internet for aero handlebars.
Control tech carbon 44cm. Will put a pic up of the bike when done.

Continued stripping the frame. As expected, cranks and seat post are seized.

Seems to be site issues with posting photos at the moment

After about 50k km and four different bikes this Tiagra compact crank was retired.
Still original 34 with a 44 Spa cycles on for last few years on cx/gravel bikes.

Fitted a new GRX as the Tiagra was a little tight at chainstay.

Then I went and crashed the bike:(

Hope the bike's ok...and you, of course

Seems like image upload is working again, so here's a pic of the bike frame, placed gratuitously beside my bandsaw (complete with personalised safety sticker) especially for magicbastarder

I didn't think you'd be likely to injure yourself, just figured you might like the sentiment :)
