See the whole Warrior award hof thing we got before this match? Isn't it a bit mental.

Like Warrior was an ego maniac. He made several homophobic comments. He held Vince up for money. There is many reports that he was mental. Like proper something wrong with him stuff.

Yet there's an award for good human activities in his name?

I love Asuka so much, she's pure banter throwing all sorts of shapes in her entrance and promos and then is well able to go. But frak me doesn't Rhea Ripley look like a star?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Asuka should go over here in my opinion, she deserves a Mania moment considering how good she's been

    There's pros and cons.

Having all of this on one night would be very mentally draining to sit through even in the comfort of my home.

I do think it takes a bit of shine off it mind as that buzz from the main event I had last night has long since dissipated.

it's because in his own HOF speech he suggested they do an award for the behind the scenes people - i think this year is the first time his actual meaning of the award was reflected with that backstage guy receiving it - WWE just made their own meaning of it by giving it to Connor "The Crusher" etc.

Asuka is lightning fast compared to almost every other female performer, and she's almost 40.

The buzz is not in the stadium more than anything I think. The crowds being asked to sit there masked up seems to have taken any semblance of a spark out of the occasion. Obviously 2 nights is a bit naff too but there's be en mainly clean finishes with not a lot of controversy. The build to the matches has been a bit sub standard too. A dearth of big name talent there at the moment.

    Two new women's champs.

    Rhea deserves it

Will a certain Becky Lynch return to reclaim what she never lost?

I think it's the right result, might freshen up the top of the women's scene. Rhea should have a rematch with Charlotte and actually win in the coming months to cement herself. Then Becky around Summerslam maybe.

Delighted for Rhea, the whole event seems just like any old PPV though. Everything seems completely heatless or something.

It should go back to 4 hours on 1 night. Two many rubbish pointless matches. They don't need to put the entire roster out there.

It was grand, some face/heel issues and it didn't feel like a big moment because the champion Rhea was beating has been presented as an afterthought for her entire reign. ***1/4

just seeing this Fiend finish again now - didn't he kick out of like 20 Curb stomps before but one RKO kept him down?

I still haven’t a notion what happened in that first match, and what the point of that choice was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,220 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Bayley's theme is so good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,951 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

Does every woman need to have a punk vest now? At the Rumble there was a lot of them and now Alexa is in on it too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,462 ✭✭✭showpony1

Becky Lynch going to come out and teach Bayley a lesson?

Delighted for Rhea, the whole event seems just like any old PPV though. Everything seems completely heatless or something.

The only matches that had any build really were the Bad Bunny one, Sasha and Bianca and the triple threat. The rest were sort of cobbled together between Elimination Chamber and Fastlane

I guess you can make an argument for Big E and Apollo as well.

Bayley relegated to bring HH and Titus’s sidekick.

And now being there for the Bellas to bump her.

    Only in the WWE.

    The fcuking Bellas. Seriously.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    Oh yay! The Bellas!

    Said no one ever

Bayley and Seth had the exact same theme for a while.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,127 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Beakerjoe is clearly on the WWE booking team based on his PW Draft write up and the Bellas/Bayley segment.

Shame they cut all the good stuff before releasing it at Mania, his was way better :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,211 ✭✭✭LineOfBeauty

They still can't foresee the most obvious crowd responses.

And I'd be careful watering down the Wrestlemania brand any more than it already is by associating it with the May ppv.

insane that Bryan wrestlemania moment was 7 years ago

Crash Holly said something in his RF Shoot before his untimely death and that was about WWE viewing their wrestlers as action figures.

You play with an action figure and they're the star. Then a new action figure is your main focus. You know kid sh*te. So once that action figure who was the star of your playtime has been moved to cannon fodder.

    He's right I think.

They're calling their next PPV 'Wrestlemania Backlash'

Which is just a daft name.

Crazy but still didn't fully lift the spirits after that certain event that happened before hand

"Wrestlemania Backlash" is now the ppv name for the May ppv. They've already turned it from a 1 night show into a 2 night thing. All I'd say is there's a law of diminishing returns and you don't want to water down the cache of the cash cow.

    WWE eventually ruin everything.......

This has been such a meh Wrestlemania.

When the culmination of The Matt Riddle Sheamus scooter feud has been the highlight of the 2 nights so far it says it all.

Edge doing his full face entrance. I swear if you watch the weekly shows, these 2 nights have forced home that you're a fool because they're basically non-canon at this stage.

3 years ago a few of us were listening to him speak in the Tivoli and now he's back in the ring at WrestleMania

Must be nice for Roman walking out in the main event of Mania not being booed as a babyface for the first time ever.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,127 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Reigns is such a star, just oozes charisma. Thing about the Reigns gimmick is I don't see it working too well without the belt, so I'm doubtful they will take it off him.

    But then again Edge...

Edge will be pinning Bryan for that reason if they are switching it.

Reigns retains for me. The fact Daniel Bryan is in the match at all tells me Vince isnt all in on Edge.

Reigns is the man who should win IMO but Im rooting for Bryan cause Im a mark
