Obviously very good reasons Golden Wrists only has 16 caps, bit of a shame

Oh yeah absolutely. It says a lot that multiple England head coaches didn't want him in their team despite his talent.

I assumed he would be in Japan, his profile is big enough to command a decent wedge and it's much less attritional than the prem.

There was reports of him going since he left Gloucester but he turned it down apparently.

I think Cips will always be England's big what-if. If he hadn't squabbled a lot of his younger years with his off-field actions and stayed focused he could've been a superstar on the pitch rather than off it.

Gavin Henson is another. Both had so much potential but never lived up to it. Cipriani more so.

Cips is definitely a case of "what if" but in fairness to him Owen "1000 points" Farrell has probably swallowed up a lot of those potential caps.

This is pretty interesting from a concussion assessment perspective. A study of 156 Premiership and Championship players has shown that saliva can predict HIA results with 94% accuracy.

Could pave the way for pitch-side saliva tests in future.

It still takes 24/48 hrs to get results..

Won't make any change to the in game HIA process , but it should make for much more effective "Return to play" protocols.

Bottom line though , anything that improves the ability to accurately detect Concussion is a very good thing

Instant pitch-side HIA results in a couple of years? That might be lead to fairly chilling results...

Cipriani is about 4 years older and was on the scene very young (made his England debut in 2008!!) so he would have had a good bit of time to establish himself before Farrell, he just didn't do it for various reasons.

Genuinely think there is perhaps the most parity in world rugby for a long time. No team stands out right now, SA might be number one and world champs but they lost a pool game and were ran close by the Welsh in the semi, then haven't played since. NZ are not in a purple patch, France and England overrated, Wales and Ireland hard to gauge (Wales lucky and Ireland a mixed bag). Scotland and Argentina better than they have been in the past.

    Reiterating this.;)

I'm early 30s but Jesus I remember a time when getting Magners League tickets for a Munster game were hard to get esp the inter pros. Heineken Cup games were like gold dust esp for Munster games

Nowadays (pre covid) it's easy enough to pick up tickets for almost any club game

Irish internationals tbf remain stubbornly high to get tickets if don't knw the right channels

Cardiff are a terrible team. London Irish aren't much better. Jackson had a fairly terrible second half. When his team were down to 13, he missed touch twice from penalties. They desperately needed to kill the clock during that period. He missed touch from a penalty taken well inside his own 22. Horrendous. Also turned over twice on the deck fairly weakly.

Still has the soft hands and quick feet but he definitely appears to have lost some of the focus he had 3 years ago.

Not a great look for the Challenge Cup when one of Harlequins’ main players is a pundit on the game instead of playing despite not being injured..
