Ok, I presumed by saying that normal was gone that you meant lockdowns and restrictions are here to stay. Apologies if you didnt mean that. What did you mean then?

I also remember you posting stuff about the possibility of the virus laying dormant in people only to reactivate years later. It's pure nonsense. Always the worst case scenario

Haha you could go back over all his posts. Can't believe he still has the energy.

What’s the story with the German supermarkets being allowed to sell certain products.
My local angling shop closed for months now and looks like he will go under but I see Lidl allowed sell a large range of fishing gear next week ..
Not only fishing stuff but loads of fitness gear and clothes.

Maybe got fed up with watching Irish supermarkets getting away with the same?

Married, house, 3 kids. Working from work now that the kids went back to school. Still feels like living in a nuclear submarine, periscope depth...

From the most recently leaked conversations (if true- I am sure he'll sue if they are incorrect) Gerry Killeen sounds like a lovely man.

Why is no mainstream media outlet reporting this? Not one word about science or approaches in these communications, just how to ‘take down’ those with opposing views using a biased tv presenter to boot.
And why was Tomás Ryan the neuroscientist given more air time on pal Claire Byrne’s show this morning without having to answer questions in relation to these leaks and ISAG’s agenda?
In no other country have such a group with extreme views been given such huge access to all media like here in Ireland. It should be investigated, both their role and the media’s in this. It’s an absolute disgrace the way they’ve both conducted themselves throughout this pandemic.

Again this country is like North Korea. At least North Korea doesn’t hide what it is.

Should be level 3 on April 5th and come May Level 1 once 65+ cohort is done. Come July all restrictions gone and NPHET disbanded, no more PCR tests for the general public.

They're a simple roadmap that would definitely work.

Level 5 on April 5th, come May Level 4. In July NPHET take over full control of the government.

Has anyone looked at Germany's reopening plan? I don't see why Ireland couldn't adopt a similar approach. Very well thought out and links the incidence rate to reopening as opposed to the very unclear direction we have at the moment.

I'm nearly 34, female, single. Desperate to buy a place and move on with my life. Every night for the last year I've just eaten dinner with my parents and then watched telly.

Have no idea when property viewings will be happening again, zero communication from the government on dates. The property market in Dublin is horrifying. Especially if you're single. People entering crazy bidding wars.

Can't get a house, can't get a vaccine, and the next 4/5 months look like the exact same routine, day after day, that it's been for the last 12. I can't be the only one lying awake at night, feeling so anxious about this stuff. Sick of saving for years on end with no end in sight.

There's not much joy in life anymore. And it very much feels like families and people with children are all that matter to the government. It feels like that's all I ever hear about.

If the housing situation wasn't a complete mess, I wouldn't feel as resentful towards the government. Not a single area of my life is moving forward and I'm sure a lot of single people feel the same. It's very depressing :(

Similar feeling. Get up, work from home in the bedroom, dinner, telly. Seeing very little people during the week. Try get through the week to the weekend, which you end up doing nothing. Stuck in a rut.

It kind of hit me last night that we're almost a year on now from when things shut down - 12th March? - and realised that we've actually lost a valuable year in our lives.

I agree, should be level 3 for April.. Is there much of a difference between 4 and 5?

Secondary schools only go back mid April. We won’t see a major change until they are back atleast 2 weeks.

It's a very proactive plan compared to our baby step approach.

To get over rest of March/April we have Paddys Day and then the Easter bank holiday weekend. People throwing parties in private houses which could create a rise in cases like Christmas

By the time the April review comes around numbers could be high thus an extended lockdown with a review mid/late May

Govt won't skip levels. It won't go from 5 to 3. Best case scenario is level 4 on 5th April.

Govt already clarified they will reopen slower this time with no skipping levels like last time ....Unfortunately.

The main difference is its closer to Level 3.

Going into level 4 on April 5th will show the government and nphet and some sort of plan in place for the summer ahead.

Sticking to level 5 restrictions for all of next month is simply kicking the can further down the road and potentially losing the crowd.

We are getting a glimpse behind the curtain of this whole charade....Killeen expresses a wish to "take a hurley" to a person who disagrees with him...this is the mindset, a bully, a charlatan, when you can't beat logic you have to overwhelm it....I am willing to bet, that guy Cummins has never been on Irish TV.

What is this witchcraft you post good sir?
Such a heartless plan, not a thought given to all the deaths it will cause nor a word about vaccinations.

Never fear young squire, Sir Tony of Lockdownonia shall return on his trusty stead to set thee free of such wicked thoughts and banish any word of metrics from our minds.

The government may not even get to level 5 come April or at least half way through it when all schools are finally reopened.
They may call it level 4+1 come April 5th but don't be confused into thinking that's level 5 are they are playing silly semantic games. Come May we may cautiously dip our toe into level 3+ and stay there till July at the earliest. From there who knows, maybe we go to level 2 of some variety until the winter surge when we will need to protect our hospitals from non COVID related issues like not having enough free beds to put people into for everyday illnesses.

Hairdressers open there since March 1st, dog can get groomed here and have a hair cut ( which is only right ) but for the rest of us nothing. Backward kind of stuff.

I don’t know a whole lot about Cummins but I do know he’s regularly derided for “getting it all wrong” yet the ISAG crew seem to have gotten it wrong consistently and get a free pass. Every single time. 120,000 deaths, 90k in Dublin alone, 100 dead children, a Covid death in every household, freezer trucks full of corpses etc.

Not only do they get it wrong but they clearly have a gameplan which is solely about scaring the bejaysus out of anyone who’ll listen to them.

People not listening anymore though, they copped on. Listening to all that negativity day in day out would do anyone’s head in. Smart ones tuning out.

    He's lived through 4 pandemics?
I think I see the root cause here. Gerry the Jonah needs to be shipped to a deserted island in the middle of the pacific before he attracts a fifth.
