Six One not bothering to lead with the fact that our vaccine targets have been revised downwards by a few hundred thousand...oh look 46,000 Pfizer vaccines will be made available before the end of March...let's make that our lead item. Right, the net projection is still down overall but happy days we have a nice windy evening to fly a kite. Our national broadcaster treating the populace like infants.

3.8m by the end of q2 has always been the number hasn't it?

Rest in Peace to the 47 who sadly passed away but you love to know how many of them actually died from Covid and not with Covid. They need to stop classing every death as covid related. Filling us with lies and people need to wake up to this
Is that not what the denotifications are for? Adjusting the numbers after the coroner's report?

Why do the exact same posters start bleating every single Wednesday about high case numbers when it's clear to everyone that reads this thread regularly (which they clearly do) that there's going to be a Wednesday bump?

Stephen Donnely on six one yesterday said our target has only been reduced from 1.2m to 1.1m . He was immediately corrected that the initial target was 1.7m.

Were people not complaining when they focused on the negative news? Some people want only good covid news, don't forget.

Are certain parts of the country getting vaccines quicker or what? It seems random.

Dublin's progress is painfully slow at this point, I don't think you can really allow too much relaxation until your 14 day incidence rate is below 100, and I can't see how Dublin will get to that point anytime before the end of April.

Because if you walk around Dublin you'll see it's packed with people and traffic. Dublin isn't in a full lockdown, it's obvious when you actually look at the level of activity.

Big practices, MVCs and then the smaller or more remote ones. It could also be influenced by how many people in that age cohort they have.

A friend of mine's parents in their early sixties got it recently, with no exceptional conditions, but they're out in the middle of nowhere, so I was guessing there was a certain number of doses sent to the practice and they happened to be next in line in the area.

Two counties worse than Dublin and a few not far behind them.

Are our government and other governments in Europe afraid of being blamed for Covid deaths if they lift restrictions early because they are unwilling to blame the Chinese government for letting the virus spread outside China?

Have people in this country and in the rest of Europe forgotten that the Chinese government let this pandemic happen?

If people were reminded of where the virus came from then they'd be less likely to blame their governments for Covid deaths, wouldn't they?

I appreciate that but as far as I'm aware both Longford and Offaly have had meat plant (colour me shocked...) outbreaks, other counties pop in and out of the top 10 but Dublin is consistently top 5.

Knock it off with the nonsense. There is no conspiracy and reporting guidelines are easily available.
