Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't think you'll ever beat HOL Puri's. Triphammer tobaccos & Yaelik Turkish aren't bad but nothing comes close to Puros

When i first started vaping and was mostly on tobacco flavors I found Puros one of the better ones for sure. I seem to remember at one stage they would only do it in 32mg! [I used it in 3.2 ohm coil tanks and obv mtl] I'm sure that's long since changed? Another I liked at the time from the same crowd was cigarillos which I remember having a nutty taste to it

Thanks guys. I went with HOL Puros dark in the end. I had some of their Brasileiro recently which was really nice. They do a range of nic strength these days.

    Might try Drakes next.

I usually vape fruit types but it’s nice to have a strong tobacco type handy for when you need a stronger kick.

    Here's another option for you

Their RY4 is the best I've had.
Good selection to choose from as well, they'll mix it from 0 up to 12mg nic and whatever PG/VG ratio you prefer.

No I've only tried the ry4 and it was superb, I like the profile of the Montechristo, hazelnut and sweet vanilla yuuuuum. Nothing like a nutty tobacco for mtl.

I got myself a Vaporesso Xros today, nice pod system about the size of a Caliburn. It has air flow control on it so you can really tighten it down for a nice mtl.
It has handled 70VG pretty well, I was worried the coils might burn but the juice holes are pretty big.

If you order now you should be ok. Make sure it gets despatched before the 11/11 sale / rush

Currently vaping mtl with an innokin adept zlide quite happy with it for daily use. I'm looking for recommendations for a dtl kit to change things up in the evening. I had a vapresso tarot nano which worked well enough but found the battery wasn't great. Any help would be appreciated.

My last order on 20/5/20 took until 27/9/20 so gave up on them for buying stuff until they sort the shipping mess out. You can check the shipping forum on the website to get a better update.

So tl;dr I have some flavour concentrates and no base or nicotine.

Is there anywhere that sells flavourless shortfill style bottles so I can simply mix flavour, a nic shot and the base so I don't have to faff around with buying and weighing out base and nic?

Just got a vape recently (Innokin ez watt), very happy with it. Was wondering about the coils, how long do these typically last and how do you know it is on the way out and needs to be replaced?

Generally it'll become harder to draw on and the vapour will be weak, which is what indicated a burnt out coil to me. Or you'll just be getting a burnt flavour.

That's what I started on and am now back on.
I generally found they could last anything between a week and a month. It's up to you to an extent how long you want to push it. I'm a fairly heavy user so often after 5 days I notice a big drop-off in flavour. I tend to leave it until it actually burns out. Once you get a burnt draw you'll know it. :P If you don't mind changing often (and buying the coils) then if you're noticing a flavour drop-off after a week then no harm changing once a week.

Can happen with batches of some juice, check the pg/vg ratio on the bottle, if it's a higher pg content then it will be a thinner juice.

If you're a regular user then I'd most definitely let the vendor know.

So, because of Brexit the two sites I usually use for my £1/€1 cheap liquid (Euroliquid and Vapable) are not available to me anymore. Does anyone know of an alternative vendor? Does anyone know what the situation with Parcel Motel is? Would it still be possible to get Vapable deliveries to a Parcel Motel box?

  • Registered Users Posts: 319 ✭✭Allan45121

I just got a flavours delivery from chefs flavours today. I have ordered nic from the uk so well see if that arrives. As far as I know parcel motel are only workin within ireland now.

You will be charge VAT on the nic (+ Postage) on delivery here, so if you used courier, they may refuse the delivery.?

So had a bit of a nightmare with Addresspal, apparently they don't allow e-liquid to be shipped despite not having any issues before, so my €40 order is now somewhere in the aether.

Anyone know a good place to get cheap e-liquid in ireland now? Euroliquid has shut down.

Did the nic ever arrive? I'm going to put in an order with Novavapes in the UK soon. Should be coming via royal mail/an post. I don't mind paying customs. It'll still be cheaper per ml than buying here.

Been using these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32809823573.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4d7XibYG for a couple of years and no problems. Only downside is the wait to get them. Just ordered 10 more before The VAT rules come into effect in July.

Currently EU and non-EU sellers selling goods online to EU consumers can import the goods into the EU, directly to the consumer, import VAT-free if the consignment of good(s) is valued at €22 or below. This ends 1 July 2021 and all imports will be subject to EU VAT.

Yes Non EU sellers to EU customers will have the €22 exemption removed from July 1 which in turn will probably affect EU customers purchasing from EU suppliers that source their product outside of the EU.

Just on batteries are these ok? https://eu.nkon.nl/rechargeable/li-ion/18650-size/samsung-icr18650-30a.html
Just seeing different amps for different batteries, not something I've had to consider before.

Sorry for answering myself :P But yeah is there a recommendation for the Amps in a battery? Cheap ones are 8-10A, dearer ones are 30+.
I'll be using 2 in my mod at ~80W and will be giving single ones to a couple of people to use at under 20W if it makes any difference.

Battery amps for regulated mod batteries is generally determined by your vaping style. So, vaping at 80w I'd recommend high amp batteries which will give you constant power for longer periods of time. At 20W a lower amp battery would suit but in general I'd never get anything below 20amp.
Of course the build you use in your tank/rda will also have an effect on your batteries, the lower your build is then the more power is needed to heat the coil.

Hmm, that nkon site has only 3 in stock of 30A or higher in stock and they're all pretty low capacity.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,185 ✭✭✭Dr Bill V1.5

Apologies, disregard my original answer,I read you're original question wrong.
Amps are generally determined by the build or coil you are using. A low build will generally require a high amp battery as more power is needed to heat the coil whereas a higher build/coil will work well with a lower amp battery. This is especially important if using mech devises as there is no inbuilt protection so a good understanding of Ohms Law is required.
On regulated devises there are safety features already in place so in case of conflict between the coil and battery there are protections in place to prevent a battery overheating or venting.
In general I'd purchase the best batteries you can afford,25 amp are good for general vaping with coils from about 0.5 upwards. 30amp or higher for any coil/build below that.
Also look at the Mah on batteries, this is the time between charges, the higher the figure the longer you'll get between charging cycles. But again this can vary and depend on your vaping preferences.

Are any of the batteries pretty much the same quality so?

    I'm after 2 batteries for a mod at ~80W and 0.15 Ohms.
And 2 more to be used individually at <20W and 0.8 Ohms.

Try to gdt a known brand like Samsung or Molicell

It's no bother at all, before Brexit I purchased all batteries from Fogstar. Co. Uk but unfortunately that's not really an option anymore.
For an Irish based option try this https://www.efag.ie/18-e-cig-battery
For a French based option try https://www.lepetitvapoteur.com/en/content/21-the-anatomy-of-a-storage-battery
    Both sites provide excellent service.

Samsung 30Q on the French site seems to be the best choice. Even on the Irish site the availability of flat-top 18650s is pretty limited.

I've been using an odan atomiser and eleaf invoke this past year and loved it. Tank no longer registers the atomiser tried the usual cleaning etc and still no joy. Purchases aspire glint. Thing is it only has one battery and find I'm not getting the power as it's much lower. Can anyone suggest something similar to the eleaf invoke?

    Usually 45 to 50 odd with a 1.8 or 1.6 ohm coil

45 to 50 on a 1.8 or 1.6 coil seems very high for that particular coil, normally 1.8 or 1.6 would be used for mouth to lung style of vaping at a much lower power, somewhere in the region of 12 to 15 watts. But if it works for you then stick with it. Do you find that your coils burn out quickly?
